CAS V1 Intercooler ?

I need a set of intercooler pipes for my CASV1 and was offered a set for a from CASv2 intercooler, are they same and will work?

Also does any vendor carry replacements?

That should work. The intercooler inlet and outlet are in the same places on both from what I have seen.

Check with Lonnie he might have some pipes still. He was remaking then some time ago.

If there is an interest I can have a set of them run off. I need five people committed to it first though. Price would be around $160 a set bead rolled in 3" aluminum. I have all of CAS info drawings and contacts for the V 1 intercooler and have an account with the supplier that made the pipes. I would have to order a run of them though and can't order just 1 or two.

Are the V1 and V2 pipes the same, thats my question... Also for $160 is that all three pieces?

V-1 used 2 pipes and the V-2 had 2 but used your up pipe to the throttle body.

They both had one piece pipes to the tb at the end.

The V-1 used 3" pipes. The V-2 Had 2.5" pipes. I have seen the V-2 with the full length pipes and I have seen them with 3 pipes. The two piece pipe was from the intercooler to the throttle body. Can be verified by either Archie or Mike.

The V-2 had step down hoses to the 2.5" pipes

you aren't wrong with what tony stArted with but thats not how it ended up in the end. at least that's not my experience with them in the end, they started with 2.5" pipes. Then tony switched cores (believe they went thicker) and pipes to 3".... Then went to one piece... Again, that's my experience on about 1/2 a dozen cars including my own that had one of tony's last v2s before he went bye bye....

Your picture looks like the older core to me before tony changed them. None of this matters I'm sure as Chris probably will be doing the 3" ones I hope.

Mine (unmodified V2) had two pipes, and transitioned to my stock up pipe.

I can have them powder coated if there is an interest. Let me make some calls this week and I will come up with some final pricing. I also had connections on the breeze clamps and hoses but there was no great deals there. I do know I will have to order a min. of 10 sets.
