Caspers Volt Booster question

The instructions are simple enough but there are two wires on ring terminals, a red with gold ring term and a black with silver ring term. The photo on the website shows two wires but the instructions do not. I "assume" the black one is a ground. Can anyone verify this before I screw up? Here is a pic:

I checked out mine and it didn't have the black lead....hhhmmm. Below is a photo of my booster w/part number. I hope this helps in some way.

the black is ground. the gold terminal was installed by me since my high output alternator had a larger power stud.
 
I had the same question since my caspers booster doesnt match the directions. Is everyone grounding to the alternator case or is there a better location to ground it to?
 
I grounded it to the bolt at bottom backside of the alternator where the brace attaches. It's right by the valve cover. 13mm hex.
