Took the car to Moroso on Sat for the Citrus Nationals.

Best time was a 13.60@100 with a 1.97 short. That's with all mods in sig, foot brake to ~ 2000 rpms with 2 psi of boost on launch, 16 psi through the pass. This is on 235/60/15 street tires (no DR's).

Converter was locked up at 85 mph.

Does this sound about right?

Need to do some tuning.

with K&N, test pipe, 160* stat, and Hypertech chip, I was running 13.50 @ 105 with rotten 60' times

I have no knock, 02's are low 800s, 19 degrees of timing. Maybe I'm shifting into 4th through the traps?

Definatly keep it in Drive and not OD during the run. O2s seem about right if you're running pump gas and all. How was the weather?. I think the mph is a tad low. have you changed the valve springs on it? The ET is good for only 16 psi. What was your 1/8 mile time and trap speed? I think its doin pretty good, on 20 psi more timing and a 1.7 60 ft it would be in the high 12s

DA was 2200, low 80's, not the best weather.

The valve springs are original, should I replace them?

Not sure my 1/8 mile times

I ran it in OD is that slowin me down?

Try bringing on the boost until you see some KR. Then add fuel until it goes away - but then ya got to add more boost.

Do you have a catalytic converter?

Maybe some more timing.

No Cat.

I had knock until I ran 10% richer with the Trans+ to get it to run with no knock.

I pulled a plug out and saw it was an Autolite 25 gapped at .030, I bet that is not helping MPH.

What Valvesprings do you recommend?

Doug D

I have read that many like the Comp Cams 980's or the old style LT 1 springs - but do a search to check and ask if those will be a good choice for use on a cam with x miles on it.

I bought LT1 springs from Mike L. at MM a few years back. Just remember DO NOT REUSE the cages. I ended up collapsing a lifter. The springs only are to be used according to Fred at Dynotech. I found if your springs are worn the car will turn of slowly when the ignition is turned off. With new springs it seems to turn off instantly.
