That happened in my state. What your not being told is the chip also chewed off her hands, and was trying to rip her arms off too. Very sad, and that women who came to help (the chimp owners friend) really won't have much of a life now if she survives. REAL sad story.....

Having a pet chimpanzee makes about as much sense as climbing into a lion cage. They are wild, dangerous animals. They are not domesticated. You can not train away the instinct of these creatures...

The chimp had Lyme disease. Lyme disease is horrible and can make you loopy and lunny. Just ask me how I know....

It was just an animal that fell out of it's tree and lost its mind. We have many two legged animals around here that do much worse things then that chimp did. And it happens weekly....

Guess i better not hang around you anymore. You might maul me:biggrin:

Shoot first, let Al Gore sort em out.

Peace out you damned mini gorilla. Now we all know where the term "ape-****" comes from...

Those chimps are crazy strong for their size! :(

...and this one supposedly weighed 200lbs. I never would have thought they grew that large, but can you imagine the strength that thing had!

It's sad that still today we read about these things. Will humans ever learn that wild animals should not cohabitate with man? How many times do we hear about stupid things like people keeping tigers and alligators and creatures like that for pets. What the heck is wrong with these people?

Kind of like the dumbass that had the Python or Boa that he had around hisneck and just after he had a little kid pet it the snake turned on him and ripped off most of his face:eek: It could have been the kid. It's one thing to have one as a pet but when you lose the respect for what the animal can do or the fact it is wild, you're in trouble.

A female chimp weighing 100lbs can easily deadlift 600lbs. An average male human can deadlift about 220-250lbs. I can deadlift 720 lbs at about 230lbs bodyweight. This chimp was male and reportedly weighed 170 lbs. Id bet the chimp was 5-7x as strong as any male human being you would ever find. Probably could deadlift 1500lbs or more. A strong enough grip to rip the skin right off your face:eek:

I think all the tree huggers and PETA people ought to have to baby sit one for about 1 year a piece:biggrin:

A chimpanzee 8 months and older can have the strength of up to 10 men. This one was even bigger than a normal size one too.

The owner was giving the chimp Zanax. It can sometimes have the opposite effect.

Lucky thing the victim was a female. Chimps bite off the genitals of males!
