I want to hi-temp coat these exhaust manifolds, crossover and extender pipes that were pulled before putting them on.

Before sandblasting they will need to be de-greased and cleaned.

Is there any harm in just soaking them in a mixture of degreaser and water?

I guess what I'm asking is will there be any bad effects with the interaction between any residue left on the insides and the heat or exhaust from the engine.

TIA

I don't believe there should be. Use lots of water to rinse them well. Anything that might be left over should just burn up when they're put back on the car.

Thanks dude, one last thing.

I've read here and on other forums that blasting and coating with tradition high-temp paints is a waste of time cuz they burn/chip off.

I can't afford Jet-Hot right now, any input?
