In going through a couple of brake bleeds this weekend and having not so perfect results I finally figured out what was happening. I used a pressure bleeder and forgot to clamp the combination valve pressure switch plunger shut, so it popped out. What is the proper procedure to push it back in?

Might save someone from having difficulty bleeding brakes, if the brake pressure valve shifts you will never get all the air out. You can C-clamp the plunger closed during bleeding or if you run a PV4 combination valve with no external plunger there is a special tool designed to hold the plunger in the center during bleeding.
