What do you guys use to clean the compound or wax build up out of all the cracks and jams after a buff and polish. WD40 will cut it loose but it kind of defeats the purpose, cause your having to go back and rewash and wax. I thought about a paint prep cleaner but was concerned that it may harm the finish of a base/clear.

Wipe it out with a rag or Q-Tip before it dries. Compound after it dries will somtimes come out with hand glaze. If that dosent work then warm soapy water, soft sponge and a little elbow grease.

Compound removal

Depends on what compound you use.
Both Race Glaze compounds, (Leveling & Fast Action)
are truly water soluble - very easy cleanup with soap & water,
no matter how long in door jams, etc.
They also do not produce swirl marks,
and will not stain fresh paint as many other compounds will.
