To Jeff Rand for recieving his John Force, NHRA, license tonight at LACR. I think he also set a new personal best just to stay a tenth ahead of me ;) That last run was much better than mine!:p

Thanks guys,
It was quite a struggle because the track would not hold the HP. I had to reduce the boost and bring the timing down to 21.5 degrees. Also had to give the HR Parts bar more preload and reduce the tire pressure to 9.5 lbs. The last two runs were 9.78 with a 1.37 sixty and a 9.67 with a 1.36 sixty. I keeped the car in overdrive because the track was very loose at the top end so my MPH was down to 136. The last attempt at a nine second pass gave me my best 1/8 mile of 6.12.
Also thanks to Reg West for getting me to think outside the box on the setup.
Scott also ran a best of 9.7 @ 141mph. It was a beautiful straight run that had the crowd shaking their heads.
Thanks to the guys at LACR for not having me wait in line suited up. As soon as I gave them the thumbs up, they let me go out to make the run.
Jeff

Great job Jeff, just think if that was at sea level and the track was in good shape 9.20's  hold on :D Well, it looks like the XFI is working better for you.

Scott, sounds like you are getting it dialed in. I wish I could play, but my junk is alway apart.

I am bumbed that I could not make it out.

Jeff,You still running the 76GTS?
Man i wish i did not sell that turbo
Congrats on the lic

Otto.
It is still the GTS that you sold me. You know what is interesting is that my compression is only 8:1 so the turbo is doing a lot of the work. I really think it could go low 9's if the stars are aligned right. With the distributor setup and a 400 trans.;I am not going to say the number but who knows.
Jeff

Robert,
Would you believe that XFI is still not dialed in. It is still running rich and lean in several areas.
Thanks to everyone who responded to this post.
Jeff

keep plugging away Jeff. Anything is possible. Make that car surprise the bleep out of you.
