ok ecm/sol fuse good...the tranny plug is getting 12v + on blue wire which is terminal B (per the plug) and a green wire with white stripe on terminal D is receiving 12v+ with ign on.... the purple wire which on my plug shows terminal A isnt receiving 12v+ am i missing something here every thread shows the purple wire terminal A should show 12v+?? and im getting something different

Purple wire 12V+ to Pin-A comes thru the Brake Light switch, check the Switch to see if it's bad or needs adjusting.

Pull up on the brake pedal, see if switch is out of adjustment. Do this with your left foot while cruising at highway speed. I would guess it's your switch on the brake pedal, this is the same switch that unlocks the converter when you apply the brakes.

ok i had the converter locking up fine 2 days ago know it stopped i checked the switch on pedal doesnt need adjustment check the aldl f and a shows 12v+ with ignition on even checked when brake pedal pressed and it would cut the 12v and when brake pedal would return to normal location would have 12v+ again..ECM sol fuse checks out.. checked tranny plug show 12v+ with ign on even did the paper clip trick on aldl connector still wont lock up 2 days like this know what could it be? also i had a problem with some relays on driver side had my fan acting funny so i just ran a ign wire to a relay to the high speed fan control so when ignition on..the fan's cut on high speed all the time i live in (miami) its hot ass hell in the winter. since then my LOCK up hasnt locked any suggestions? bought a switch to manually ground the aldl connector but wasted my time at radio shack since i tried the paper clip trick still wont lock.. so why put the switch? any thing else im missing?

the solenoid is maybe a month old..damn maybe it went bad i took a long drive about and hour drive and then the day after it started not locking wonder if the long drive couldve eff'd up the solenoid dammit! i hate taking off the tranny pan messy as hell. dont have a drain plug.

Go to Walmart they sell large storage containers that fit under car to catch trans fluid.

ok im about to drop the pan and put a new solenoid any tcc solenoid preference or brand? i dont want another to go bad? or just w/e 4speed auto transmission tcc solenoid 700r/200r from the local auto parts

ok wtf changed solenoid changed oil new filter still no lock?? even swapped out ecm's with a spare i had still no lock have power everywhere aldl shows 12v even paper clipped the aldl still no lock?? whats going on?? is there a relay or something somewhere? something is up new solenoid wired perfectly ?? dont understand tranny gurus please help?

before it stopped locking i had 2 major problems one was i was checking the compression even with the ecm plug by battery disconnected and fuel fuse off and one of my wires was near uppipe which was connected to the alky submersible tank 2 compression strokes and i had spark kaboom the alky tank exploded! then i had trouble with a fan relay which i wired to run off ignition..then checking why it wasnt locking i tried to ground the 12v positive wire on the plug to see if i can here the solenoid clicking and my hand touched something and i blew the fusible link got that fixed??? after all that.. the tranny hasnt locked i just changed out the solenoid got a tranny bath and wired it perfectly red to red black to black still nothing there has to be a problem somewhere else??

it was locking up last week..with the same chip and same setup.. i dropped the pan again @ 3am last night took the tcc solenoid out looked up and checked the valve with a skinny screwdirver its not sticky it moves up and down freely the only other option is that i have a faulty converter ive never seen one go bad? im going to have to take it to a tranny shop i hate taking my cars to a shop!! i wish i could figure it out and i dont want to dish out 300+ on another converter.

i assume even if the chip or the computer aren't commanding the converter to lock when i manually ground it on the aldl paper clip trick it would ignore chip and ecm it would lock regardless on 2nd gear correct??

There's not many other things it can be. You've checked/replaced everything else.
The ** get my vote.

Problems in Pump:
TCC apply valve stuck.**
TC signal oil orifice plugged.
Missing/leaking Cup Plugs, Cooler passage, Apply passage.

Or the TCClutch itself.**

it might be the Tcc apply valve stuck,..Before i take the VB off Question if the tcc clutch were bad what symptoms would she give? any symptoms other than not locking up? the only other thing ive noticed with the tranny is that she'll take a bit longer to switch from 3-4th she needs to be around 50+ to go into 4th but thats ok, im assuming there would have to be other signs/symptoms of tcc clutch being faulty?
