I have a 3200 lock up converter. It's likely had 25 or 30 - passes on it. But last weekend I ran into some potential issues. First of all on the line with the transbrake on it revved to 4,000 on the attached pl log (8-5e). That was 10# of boost. I have some other logs and it seems to increase based on boost. Is that normal? Then the 1/2 shift seemed to get higher as I turned up the boost. Is this normal? The shift also felt slow and sloppy as well with little or not rpm drop. I hope it's not the transmission - it has about 10 passes on it. So could the converter be causing problems at the high rpm? Look at the 8.5d log and you'll see there is not much of a drop on either shift. Thoughts?
Thanks
Darren

If the converter isn't loosing very much mph at the shift it's doing it's job and doing it very well hate to say probably your tranny slipping

What power level? All the symptoms you mentioned go along with driving through a converter.

Well I was running 20ish # of boost, not sure what power level that would be but it's the highest I've had the boost set at. Timing was 23* / 21*.

Is there a good way to verify? I'd love it if it was my converter cause I'd rip it out and go to a non lock up from Dusty. Have heard nothing but good things about them. If I dropped the boost a couple of lbs and it behaves could that possible confirm it?

It's probably both. You would need to know the engines power band and the flash stall to know where you are. If the slip % is high the performance will be off
