Trying to get together all the parts I need to convert from a bench/column shifter to buckets/floor shifter.

Here is what I THINK I need:

Bucket seats w/brackets (or will the brackets off of my bench seat work?)
floor console
floor shifter
steering column without the column shift (do I need to change this out right away, or can I leave it there for a bit and drive it anyways?)

Any other parts that I need? How about actual install? Am I going to need to cut a hole in the floor for the shifter cable?

Did a search and didn't find anything about this that was helpful....but maybe I missed it. Thanks!

What color is your interior and where are you located? I'm going to be parting out my 83 T and have all the parts you need.

Since I'm in Texas I think the shipping might be a little hard on you. The interior on mine is maroon so all you could use is the shifter and plate that would match,

How much would you want for the shifter/plate shipped? isn't it possible to spray paint the plastic pieces?

Just noticed I got my name changed!!! LOL

PM sent.

Anyone else have advice on any other parts I may need or tips on the process?

Thanks!

I believe there is a bracket at the trans you need for the floor shift cable to go to.

The exact parts you need are : shifter, cable, lever off tranny (this part I'm not selling), center console, and column. Not sure if you need the linkage or if the one you have now will work. You can find buckets or individual seats that you can fit into the car so that's up to you. The split seats are probibly cheaper than the buckets and you shuld be able to find some of them in a junk yard fairly cheap if you do some looking around.

That's for the shifter not the tranny. The one I'm talking about mounts on the transmission to shift it into gear. Bolts ont the shaft on the side of the tranny.

I have the bracket that goes on the trans and holds the shifter cable
