well time has come to think about getting a bigger converter. i dont think my 2000 will cut it this year. i have been told to go with a coan, because simply they are the best. i was also told not to get a off the shelf one. which doesnt bother me as long as im not dropin more than 400 to buy/get one built. i am thinking somewhere in the 3000 stall range. now what info would one need to figure out what conerter i should start looking at. and when looking am i looking at flash stall, or actual stall?and what other companies should i be looking at?

350 SBC
AFR 210cc heads
comp cam, 230/236 dur, 517/520 lift
victor jr intake
650 speed demon carb
need to run on the street all day long, and run its but off at the track
200-4R trans
3.73:1 gears
26" E/T street slicks for track
about 28" drag radials for street and or track
car wieght is unknown, because a glass hood and alum heads will be on later, and other various items will be removed and added.but for now its around 3700 with me

i already have a lock up switch installed in the trans with the 2000, i can turn it on when ever i want, but doesnt lock up/activate till 55+ mph (cruising speed)

For $400, you are pretty limited. In the 200-4R world, the converters that hold up to a lot of power are gonna cost you$$. I would say talk to Bruce at www.ptsnctb.com. He has the 9x11, but it is more than $400. Could not hurt to give him a call!
