Cracked headers

Idk if this is old news or not, but Anyway story goes, in short. This was my brother's car, sat since 93 up until he was gonna sell it. I paid him got a deal(family) N all i've been doing us updating n getting back her bearings. well i've known 2 TRs have stock headers CRACK n are a big deal with TRs. MY bro had the guy(1991-93) cut off the flanges n ever since NO CRACKS EVER SINCE THIS DAY n i've gotten the headers RED HOT ONCE( crosspipe was leaking) fix that. BUt IDK is this old news or something?? Just thought i let you guys know i've been CRACK FREE haha BA DA DUM ......... just throw that out there.

I'm not sure I'm reading this right, but you cut the flanges off the headers and put them back on the engine

wait i was half asleep getting for ready4 Halloween still am haha, flanges right??? I'm sure im not using the right word here guys sorry you know how you got the ports, then the flanges for the bolts and then metal that connects all three exhaust ports. That was cut , but left part where the bolts go into. Welder said thats what makes the headers crack, IDK if thats right, well i just notice it today n askedmy brother, WTF my headers are cut haha. He said welder, said you just fix the problem GM had/has for this car. Cuz he took the headers for fixing time n time again but No leaks since. though it was SITTING on its butt since 93(driven here n there) so idk but i drive it n fast n highways n byways n nothing. but nothing last forever so IDK

LMFAO haha yeah sorry guys, i was still mest up when i posted that, it was late, haven't slept in days(work on call)OVERTIME you know what i mean, haha SORRY. i reread it n i just laughed where the hell did that come from haha NM
well it was funny haha, good times all in fun for sure haha but not really i'll just post pics later im still sleepy:wink:
