Well, after 12 years of riding snowmobiles I had my first mishap.
While crossing over a driveway along a stretch of major highway in northern Wisconsin, my left ski found a drain tube running under the drive. The tube was covered with snow so I didn't see it. This proceded to bring my sled to an immediate halt throwing me over the hood and landing 15 feet from the sled. Fortunately I wasn't going too fast and only sustained minor injuries to my thighs as they slammed into the handlebars on my way over the top.
Luckily I was standing on the running boards when it happened, if I had been sitting I would have drilled my ribs into the bars.
The sled is pretty messed up, broke the left ski in half, bent every control arm and radius rod on the left front, and bent the front shock.
This is going to cost me...
