If I were to get a car from the coast how do you reccomend I get it? Should I go with a transporter or just fly out and drive it back? let me know what you think.

my brother just had one transported from CT to CA for about $700, fully enclosed, one it was loaded it would never come off or be moved. if you would like I could get the co. phone #.

Dont expect immediate pickup of your new car. Used AAA Transport (I believe its been awhil), they told me pay up front and my car would be picked up in 7 days then 7 more days for delivery. Well 7 days went by no pickup, called said pickup was for next Monday (this was Monday), no pickup again, called and they said they will be out sometime in the next week to pick it up??? F No I cancelled it, argued over a $250 fee whether order is cancelled or not, bought plane ticket to Cali for that Friday. Drove 2000 miles from Friday to Sunday! Just my experience...

Thats a HELL of a price, mine was $900 for half the distance...Cali to New Orleans.

Depends on the value of the car. If it's a high value car, then give Reliable a call.

i went with trusty transport to get my car from Mi to AZ and cost me about 875 and had no problems with them or and thing wrong with my car. Took about 6 days after the phone call to pick up and only 4 to get out there

What company was this? thats sounds like one hell of a deal.

It turns out I wont be needing it as the current car owner is willing to meet me halfway, so i will just take a bus out there and drive the car back. I appreciate the info though. Hopefully I can use it in the future :D

I was mistaken, he said it was $1100.oo to set up on top & guaranteed not to be touched the entire ride from CT to CA. he said that they have different rates for different places on the trailer. it was "dependable auto shippers" he said they have a web site.

I sold a car on sh-ebay a while back and he used a transport co from Texas to come pick it up. It was just 2 guys in a Ford 4 door dually with a 3 car trailer. They told me they charged 800 per car if they could get the trailer full along the way. Only problem was that it took over a month for them to pick the car up because they were waiting for more business from the south east to fill there trailer. They made 2400.00 from Texas to Tennessee to final destination in California. I couldn't do it for that.
