So after all these turbo buicks
I have to admit that the scan master looks out of
Line on the Buick

I was thinking about taking it apart and installing it In my rearview Mirror
Has anyone here done something similar?
I will start on it soon

I know I can do it keeping the buttons right in the same spot

What do you think ?

Seems like I remember someone taking the guts out and installing in their dash.....go for it !!

I personally WANT it directly in my line of sight. If anything gets funny I don't want to have to look away from the road to see it.

I guess it all depends on the individual point of view
Car manufacturer placed the rear view mirror in it's proper location so one can see the road and the rear with just a slight side to side movement of the eyes.
I guess if you're racing then your directly line in sight is moving your eyes downward to see your gauge instruments.

Great ideas , truthfully the red LEDs look awful

So I think I can remote this bad boy in the Mirror
Keep u boys posted !

I do agree the red LED looks bad, but that will be my next project in changing the Scanmaster red LED to Green LED, once I finish playing with a new type of manual boost controller.

Set it up backwards and install it with the mirror to the windshield. Just like heads up display. I wonder if that will work?

would need the chip redone to reverse the characters, although you could rewire it that way.

It would likely work well at night, but be hard to see in the day time.
