First time ive noticed this show was on comedy central and David Spade's intro to the show it has him driving around in his GN.. Actually most of the intro shows him in the car and driving around in the city..

Whats up with that?

How long has this show been aired?

I'm pretty sure this is the second season.

It seems he really does drive a GN.

Do a search. Its been discussed a bunch.

Heh. I'll bet him or one of his henchmen read Buick related stuff - like this forum from time to time. Heck, doesnt everyone google themselves at least once?

Try putting your name with "Buick" or something.

GET OFF THE DAMN HOOD!!!

He has the money to sit anywhere he wants but yeah, he really should put a center cap on the wheel.

ive seen the car in many pics, looks like all the caps are gone.must be a theft problem....

Actually, I got four caps I could sell him. They are not perfect but they are not crap either.

That would be cool if we could get him and dave navarro to take their cars to the nats. I'd definitely go just to check out how the celebs have theirs. Maybe if we could get some "big name" enthusiasts to help out and show more than a handful of people are into these cars we could get some good reproduction parts made-just an idea, every little bit helps.

dual pillar pod... some funky dash cover... stock seats... just some things I noticed.

I'll bet he purchased it JUST like it looks. Probably hasnt done anything to it. What I wonder is where does a celeb take a car like that to get work done?

I'm pretty sure its got SOMETHING done to it. When I heard it fire up you can here the air getting sucked in. So what if there's nothing done to it. He's obviously an enthusiast otherwise he wouldn't be driving one all the time. Give him credit he has one AND HE DRIVES IT, doesn't just sit in his stable with everything else.

Whoa hey there. Im not complaining... I just dont think he has done much with it.

A seperate thought was me wondering who gets old car celeb work (should have put on another line). Does DS research the net before deciding to get work done? Does he have a circle of Buick buddies? Does he dream of attending car shows and Buick meets but afraid to due to publicity? I cant help but feel a little sorry for him if thats the case.

For all I know it has a low power v8 swap, those suck ;)

2006 Detroit Auto Show: Last Words - The Car Connection

AT THE DETROIT AUTO SHOW: New pony cars hot, pickup trucks not
Then comedian David Spade turned up to offer his dubious aid. When Eberhardt praised the Caliber's virtues, as compared to the Neon, Spade quipped: "Dude, anything looks good when you compare it to a Neon."

Detroit Auto Show 16: Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Caliber - Popular Mechanics
Well, today's Caliber intro was no different. In the midst of Chrysler exec Joe Eberhardt's presentation, David Spade climbed on stage and did a pretty funny job of lampooning the intro. As Eberhardt was telling the assemblage how much better the Caliber was and how much more it has to offer than the Neon, which it replaces, Spade commented that most everything looks pretty good compared to a Neon. And when Eberhardt announced it would offer a low price, Spade commented on how that was the equivalent of saying it came with paint and four tires. By the way, Caliber's base price is $13,895. Even Spade couldn't top that remark. So instead he ordered Chrysler's head PR honcho, Jason Vines, whom he kept calling "Larry" into the trunk, then drove off.

I havent had a chance to get back to this thread for a entire week, was busy in BG.

Shawn, thanks for the pics and the pics of Heather  She is still a hottie :)

BW

David Spade has to be a avid classic car fan. Just watch all his movies, he almost always has a nice car in them, atleast for a while.
