Does anyone besides GN1 performance make a downpipe in 3.5 for an external gate? The GN1 I have been saving for this project won't fit unless I run it without the passenger side fenderwell. This is the second one of their pipes I have dealt with and they won't fit worth a f@ck.

Mark's pipe is a GN1. I put a 3 inch GN1 pipe on a different car and it was a mess too. Their innercoolers fit nice though. Gonna try RJC and Cotton's I guess.

Keep us updated as to what and where you find a source for the external 3.5" DP, I may have to go that route as well.

We sell the GN1 dp, all you have to do is TRIM the fenderwell NOT remove the whole thing! And the reason for that is because they are designed to be used with Kenne Bell style headers that have the crossover pipe coming up into the motor compartment. That pipe sits pretty much where a regular downpipe normally is so the downpipe has to sweep farther out to clear it. It is the only design they carry at this time.

I'm going to study on it some more tonight, but it looks like it will go about 1/2 inch past where the fenderwell sits right now. If the flange were 1/4" thinner it would help alot.

It takes way more than a trim on the fenderwell. And now that I've hacked it up, it won't come close to lining up with the exhaust. This sucks.

The pipe is not parallel with the bottom of the car, it is on about a 30 degree angle towards the ground and is aimed towards the rear tire. And it sits right on the frame. Got the word last night to call TA performance, I'm going to try Cotton'a too.

Let's us know what you find out from TA and Cotton's as I will be looking for one to purchase in the near future.

I have a GN1 3" downpipe with a 46mm wastegate,
wich gave me so many problems with the fitment,
even with timming got me nowhere. I took it to a
Federal mufflers and had it custum fabcated now its
good after throwing more $$ out!
Stay away from GN1 downpipe
There other parts i bought from them are
great.
Good luck

TA performance has them in stock, with cutout for 650.
But, they won't clear ATR headers, which I have.

GN1 seems to be hit and miss. The headers i ordered where such junk that i basically threw them away and a good friend of mine with fab skills built me a custom set of headers and a 4" DP that no trimming is required, full AC and i can change the plugs with the DP in the car. 4" !!! find a good fab guy and build your own. This subject really aggravates me because of the time and money i spent to make the gn1 stuff work with NO help:mad:
