I need the transmission for my power Drivers seat ( out of a 83 Limited, should be the same style used up till 86) ( the case is all busted on mine) I'll take just the transmission, or if you have the complete setup w/ the tracks and the motor, I could also use the coupler that goes from the motor to the transmission, if you have it. let me know ASAP. thank you I know Gbody parts sells them, just too much money..

I have one. It was broke around the motor mount (seems like most of the crack there). But it has been repaired.

$125+Shipping+ paypal fees

aminga, thanks for the offer, I just don't want a repaired one, found a transmission from another board member.

Jason, I think that GBodyParts.com Online has a new, direct-fit replacement that is manufactured with a stronger plastic case which won't become brittle over time...Don't know how much though...
Hope this helps...

Claude

Claude,
I checked those out, sound like a real nice part, but man $400, just for a tranmission...I could probably buy a new set of power seats for that..

all I know is I'm saving my old one for parts, I might try to plastic weld the casing, I'll see what happens.

They are pretty easy to fix with epoxy. If it's typical your's is cracked around 2 of the 2 mounting holes for the motor. Clean it good open the crack up and force in some slow set epoxy. Clamp it or apply pressure until the epoxy sets and you're good.

I agree 100% on the price. Right now our manufacturer is recouping mold costs. As more are sold I'm sure pricing will drop. We also carry some new 87's talk about STEEP!

It is a nice piece. New plastic & built up in the prone cracked areas to last. It is for the guy who has gone thru 2-3 units & just wants to do it once & be done with it.

Brian, I understand what it must cost to make all the molds and everything, as of right now I'll just chance another stocker and see what happens, never say never, I might just be over on your site one of these days ordering one... (hell, these are the same seats I bought from you back in 2002, I know your stuff is good..)
