Dual tank set up.....

I got to thinking the other day, and that was scary enough, but is there anyone out there that is running two fuel tanks in their car. I know of you person but not sure how to get ahold of him. What is involved in adding a fuel cell to the trunk for race fuel only. One minute it seems easy the next it is impossible. please someone tell me is this just a pipe dream or is it feasible and just out of reach. TIA

This would be a snap. You could run your regular tank and drop in a small fuel cell in the trunk (3-5 gallon).

You'd have to run seperate fuel pumps (or one out board) and run them on seperate switches (to kill one or the other). Y the line together and isolate any back feed with a high pressure petcock valve. You'd also have to do the same with the return line as well. Very doable.

Or simplify it all and run alcohol/methanol.

Metco is making a spare tire well tank for the trunk with the all the stuff but the pumps. You have a choose your pump setup. At one time they said it would be displayed at BG. Real trick !!!!

Tom Shea was making them and I believe selling them years ago. Dunno if he still does though.

If I remember correctly they were around $1500 and the tank sat in the spare tire well.
