I'm clueless, this mess is hard to follow, but I can tell you that anyone screaming, "F**k You!!" about an RIP sign they see is a world class a**hole.

Yeah i have to admit that at first i thought that perhaps due to the loss and grief involved and maybe some inside squabbling, that the place was shut down for other reasons leaving a bunch out of work and on the street.

having read more of the whole story with employees showing up to the shop in a Uhaul truck so forth and so on, I think that these boneheads would prolly be better off...not out in the street but in the gutter.

2 Things...
1. I wouldn't say they are representing the Buick community, more like Misrepresenting it....
2. Instead of using the Dynotech name, maybe Joe should open up Joe's Auto Repair and build his reputation on his own name... seems pretty simple to me. End of the problems and concerns..

First you have the wrong person who started this company. Eric purchasced Dyno-tech. From I got to know pretty well. He was a business man. Which in my book cares more for money than. Than patron. How close was I. How about a stiched Dynotech jacket to my size with my name.
Was told never to say anything. And not to thank him. I have spoken to Eric. And don't wish to start a war. If you dislike someone's ethic's don't use them.JMO.......ROb

Just a little addition to this thread...... Liz is a good women and has been through more than anyone should have to endure this last few months, it seems she has given Joe plenty of help as I was there, at Dynotech the last days when she was cleaning up. My wife Lorrie and I spent a sunday afternoon there, helping as best we could to clean up and organize, Joe showed up and was given even more "stuff" to help in his new endeaver as I saw him loading up a pile at the door.

yes Rob you are right...Eric did purchase it from Fred Vetter, again a very well respected individual and thats why Fred had no problem putting Eric (my brother) in the hands of his business to continue operating in the same manners that he would...The new people claiming to be Dynotech, DO NOT have those same qualities, knowledge, expertise or CLASS!!!

X2!...I agree 100% ! In fact, I was among Fred Vetter's first customers (I think in '89 or close to that...) back when he started Dynotech from his house in Belle Mead, NJ which he later moved to Manville, NJ. I met Eric briefly at first when Fred had him rebuild my GN's transmission. Then a few years later, when Fred retired, Eric bought Dynotech from him and he continued with Fred's high standards of quality, both in his workmanship and in the parts he sold. I remained a faithful customer and over time I got to know Eric more and more, and eventually met Liz and we became good friends although we did not see each other as much as we would have liked since I live 8 hours away...
Eric eventually had a great TA motor for my GN built, sold me the heads and intake manifold which came off his own white T-Type, and rebuilt my transmission with bullet-proof parts and added a trans brake. This transmission is still going strong as of today. The quality of Eric's work was absolutely flawlwess and this is why I think that the Dynotech name (which stood for great quality work ) should remain in Liz's posession. Obviously from what I've read here, Joe's quality standards do not seem up to par at all with Eric's and does NOT deserve the Dynotech name...

you lost me on this one. what do you mean by acting like he died is wrong. he did pass on to a better place, and it seems the people that took over the shop name have absolutly no respect for the hard work he did to build that business to what it was before his untimely passing. i have seen it before when a person will take over a business and use a name and ultimatly drive into the ground with crap work
