Ebay - 500HP on 45# injectors?

Can you make 500+ HP with 45 # injectors?? Why did I throw that money away on 72's.


I wonder if this guy really has any idea what he has in that car.

Yup. 540 HP at .5 BSFC. Assuming 100 pct duty cycle.

There is so much BS about HP numbers anymore, that it's laughable.

And how much HP for how long?.
Or how many headgaskets to the mile.

Well, I know it's not the best way, but I (and my friend Chuck) have done it for quite some time on 009s. I've only ever had one head gasket (and it was a combination of stupidity on my part ... bad assembly of the 1007s. Didn't seat the grooves properly)

His car has gone 10.90s @ 123 (3500 lbs) ... fuel pressure at about 50psi base. Mine has gone 11.20s @ 121.5 (3650lbs) with about 51 psi base. Both of us run Red's double pumper XP and ATR adjustable regulator.

Chip (in both cases) was Red's 107 and I know the injectors go static by about 4500 RPM. Again, not the "best" way, but it can be done. Both cars have had several hundred passes on them in that configuration.

I'm in the process of changing my combination and will probably step up to 55#'ers (or more depending on what we see on the engine dyno).
