I own a 81 Regal, and from day 1 to now i have had trouble with the dash lights and the radio blowing fuses. I know it's an electrical short but I don't know where to even start checking, I'm only 16 so there is little experience, don't hate. Any advice would be appreciated.

I bump up to a 15 instead of 10 fuse, little trick(last resort tho) I did this, hasn't blown since but dont go to high. (could melt fry your fuse block)

Check you grounds, body and motor ground wires. There should be some wires bolted to the inner fender and one going to the block itself. unbolt them and clean them up with wire brush, clean up both surfaces, bolt back. I also added gold contacts on inner fender ground and firewall ground. With decent thick gauge wire(to help) Had some gold round contacts laying around.

If you have a floor shifter, check the wire for the indicator light. It often breaks and shorts out when the wire comes in contact with metal.
