Hey guys, I finally got my car from the body shop after three years and 4 months. I'm getting it cleaned up for a car show this weekend and still need to put my emblems on. My question is the placement of the rear decklid emblem. I know the 85-87's have them on the drivers side, just like my 87, but in looking at pictures of my 84 (and by memory) it was on the passenger side. I have seen a picture on here of both with the 84's. Can someone look at their 84 and tell which is correct. Measurement would help too. I'll post some pictures up after the car show this weekend.

I believe the correct placement is the same as the 85-87...on the driver side. HTH ---Keith

Correct placement is on the drivers side!

actually, your 84 came factory with no decklid emblem at all ;)

kinda sorta realted- but did the 84 turbo cars have a "power 6" logo on the fenders? mine has what looks like glue residue on both fenders in the shape of the "6" right below the "T Type" badge.
if they did come with those badges, does anyone make them?
if not, i'll just laser cut some out of stainless at work and put them on my car..

You are correct. Although I wonder if Buick didn't install them at same time on some of the 84's. My reasoning is that there sure are a lot of 84 GNs with them and the 82 GN also had one although it was installed on the passenger side. That might explain why some are on the wrong side.
