Engine does not work over 1/4 pedal and 12psi boost

The first picture shows the round oil pressure plug. The car must have gauges. The single plug I'm not sure on. The second picture shows the plugs for the Powermaster electric brakes, that have obviously been removed. The third picture shows the plug for the boost switch for a digital dash car, which you don't have.

Thank you Brian for the answer, eveything looks correct in your answer but i do have the digital dash.

Or, do you mean that i don't have the switch for it?

I can't see anything in the dash with boost at all, but it sure does work in the aftermarket gauge.

Thanks for the input Frank!

Sure does makes sence!

I was just wondering what you meant by not seeing anything on the dash with boost? Do you mean you don't see any gauge that could measure boost? You should have the two ( one for high, one for low ) boost lights at the bottom right corner. They should be opposite of the two lights for gas levels. If the plug unconnected is the one for boost then that is why you don't see it. Mine doesn't work very well. Sometimes both lights work under high boost, sometimes neither comes on. Whoever made this digital dash sure wasn't thinking good on that day. People say the analog dash cars are quite inadequate, they should try riding around with one of these babies for a while.:)

Well, something is wrong then. You have the MAP sensor for the digital boost gauge on the analog dash cars hooked up. The digital dash cars don't have that. The 'T' shaped 2 prong plug on the PS fender is supposed to be hooked up to a pressure switch. The MAP sensor that you have plugged in now doesn't go to anything on a digi dash car.

Yes, correct Sir, don't have any lights at all in the dash board under boost.
Never mind about the digital dashboard since it seems to me that a crazy Mexican went crazy on it and bent all connections on it....:(

The aftermarket boost gauge works just fine.

OK....??????

Just don't follow right now since i'm tired, will Lunkan sort this out for me since i'm from the old school with no electronics parts hangi'n around....

Thanks for your input in this subject!

PS; how come the car runs so good with all loose connections, MAP sensor, pressure switch etc,etc,etc..... and no code or anything??

The engine harness is the same for both digital and analog dash cars. It has the plugs for both. If you have the analog dash, then you have a MAP sensor plugged into the 3 prong connector. If you have the digital dash, then you have a pressure switch plugged into the 2 prong switch, and the one you are not using, just hangs there. You have the sensor for the analog dash when you should have the switch for the digital dash. The reason the car runs fine is that these switches/sensors don't do anything as far as the computer and motor are concerned. They are only for your visual enjoyment.

OK, thanks for that, i got it now!

As I had Taekwondo training for 1 1/2 hour and got home 30 min ago, I´m kind of tired too. But after the explanations of them connectors it all starting to make sence. All I can say, is that the previous ovner must have been taking some REALLY strong medicin before he started working with this car...

Hey! I have one of those cars too! Mine was a giant mess. Every time I touch something, I wind up tearing most of it out and re-doing the whole thing because it was so butchered. I'm really getting to know this car inside and out though, so that is good. It is almost the way that I want everything. Now I just have to yank the tranny, the motor, redo the headliner and the seats, and then replace the carpet. Then it will almost be done.

While my car looked good at first, it became evident very soon, that a hack had owned my car before as well. Ive got countless hours into it already, fixing, or attempting to fix, stupid things. I like the saying, "All it takes is one idiot to throw a pot of gold in the lake, but takes many wise men to get it back out"
