Has anyone asked if the "y" stub pipe with 4 bolt flange is included? I had a quote from him adding it on as a $80ish CAN. extra to the total of the exhuast of choice...

I think it's included, the system won't fit with a stock Y-pipe. The price is $227 for a 2.5" dual aluminized system, well when I emailed them my order he said the Y-pipe was $80 and the two pipes that come out of the Y are $40 each (because I don't want the tailpipes), so I think the $227 price would include everything since it's $160 minus the tailpipes.

Well I just ordered my mufflers and tips, so hopefully later today some additional people get their orders in and our packages can hit the road. We should get all 10 people finished today (Monday) if everyone orders who said they were going to.

I just put my name on the list and I just want to know if I need this y pipe.I have a cat so the lady said I need it.

You Need To Read This

Just to clear something up. I put my order in today and when talking to them the y pipe flange came up. Here's the deal for those that may be confused about this. Ok, the single shot style has the flange welded onto it already and is not extra. However, those who are getting the duals in either material, the flange is NOT included in the price ( which makes absolutly no sense to me ) repeat NOT included. It is extra and it is $79 BUT it qualifies for the discount. So it would be $55 with the 30% discount. For example: a 3" aluminized dual set up with the 30% discount is $164.50 PLUS $55 for the flange PLUS shipping. This is the set up I want so with shipping at $60 my package shipped will be $279.50. I'm in but may pull out, the extra for something that has to be there anyway is a bit absurd.

I agree--i may do the same thing. This was certainly not made clear on an item that is a must have to install the system. This additional cost + shipping is starting to make this a good deal :(

I just put in my order...only 8 people so far. My order is for the 2 1/2" aluminized system with Y pipe and no mufflers, total with the 30% discount is $214.00 before shipping. Another note is this system fits better with the offset in offset out muffler configuration. Might have to fudge it to make it fit with the more common offset in center out.

Round about $100-$110 each for stainless, plus maybe shipping. I didn't like the look of that cheesy Y-pipe flange, which is why I didn't get in on this, plus have you counted how many clamps you're going to need? Looks like 8 to me.

OOPS--i meant NOT a good deal and of course you can't edit

Guess we'll see how this turns out--Cotton's is sounding good---i'd rather be a patron of a good vendor.

I hade put my name on the list but I think i'm going to go with Jack Cotton.

That makes no sense to me that my order for the Ypipe and two pipes after it is only 160, yet 227 for the whole set doesn't include a Ypipe. I guess because those axle-jumping tail pipes are complicated bends. Good thing my custom exhaust design is eliminating that.

I don't even see anywhere on Cotton's site that they're selling an exhaust system. Oh well, looks like we dropped down to probably 5 or 6 people interested, so I'll just order by myself.

How could they make a Y-pipe without the flange on it? It'd just be two useless pipes welded half together.

This whole situation just got me really confused.

That's the Y-pipe. The flange is the piece at the end of it that bolts up. I don't know if some of you are calling the entire y-pipe a "flange" all together, or what, but some of the last posts in this thread make no sense. How could they sell you that ^ without the flange on it.

Exactly.... but for additional $$ they will... shipping is where i stopped listening to this thread.

The flange is the piece with 4 bolt holes in it, 99.9999% of the time the y pipe includes it....

Well I don't know what you people expect to pay to ship a full exhaust system, but it isn't cheap. ;)

Oh well, I'm just gunna tell them to charge me and send my stuff off alone.
