The flange is the piece with 4 bolt holes in it, 99.9999% of the time the y pipe includes it....

Ok so then why are people saying they're charging extra for the Y-pipe flange ??

Because this is a G Body dual kit and the flange is extra to mate this kit to our car. $79 is outragously high for just the flange. I'm probably gonna call tomorrow to cancel. It would be a great deal if it included the flange welded on, not clamped on

Well I don't know what you people expect to pay to ship a full exhaust system, but it isn't cheap. ;)

Shipping is free from summit and includes mufflers...

Haha please forgive me, but I'm still not sure what you're referring to.

You're saying, they told you...the FLANGE cost 80 dollars??

So either you add to 80 bucks to the price or you're getting a Y-pipe with no way to attach it to your car??

Either that's the most retarded thing I've ever heard, or what you're referring to as the "flange", I'm referring to as that entire Y-pipe in the picture.

If you're talking about paying 80 bucks for the Y-pipe, then yes, that's what they told me too when I told them I wanted everything but the tailpipes.

I think they mean that whole piece is NOT included in the prices quoted by Kenan_James. Their just calling it the FLANGE piece for simplicity. Add an extra $79, less 10%, 20% or 30% discount.
The very first post mentions NO MUFFLERS included. I don't know why mufflers are not even offered. Please give us a choice, anyway. Sort of like buying a car w/o a battery. Then we find out the Y-pipe/flange is "extra". Like, oh yeah, that car doesn't come with a battery, either. Then we find out the usual Buick offset in/center out mufflers will not work, need offset/offset that "may" need to be tweaked. Oh, by the way, you have to buy the keys to the car, also, that's "extra". I haven't heard anything yet about clamps or hangers included.
I don't know about you, but I'd like an exhaust "system" to have everything included, like the Hooker system from Jeg's/Summit.
I've been waiting to see how someone likes the whole installed set up before I commit. Don't like buying a pig in a poke, so to say.
If this company making these would come up with a complete turn key Stainless "system", I'm sure they could sell a ton of them. There is a demand.

This piece is what they are calling the flange in the pic below. This piece is an extra $79, but it will be discounted 20% or 30% depending on how many get in on this. IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE DUAL KITS BUT IS ON THE SINGLE SHOT. What they told me is that all of the people that has called except for me said that they did not need this because they already have the flange. No you don't. You have the flange from your cat, teat pipe or dump pipe but you need it on the complete Y pipe to make this bolt onto your car. This makes no since whatsoever. You will have to have this flange to attach it to your car, otherwise you are just getting pipes with no way to connect them to your cat, test pipe, dump pipe etc. So I don't know what some of you are thinking when you are telling them you wont need this piece, but look under your car and you will see that you will have no way to connect this exhaust to your car/ Call them and ask for yourself.

Okay, the confusion has been cleared up. I've been referring to that as their Y-pipe, not just a "flange". I guess it isn't that sweet of a deal for you guys buying the whole system. I think I'm still going to order, because having the Y-pipe that short gives me the room under the car to bend my custom exhaust where it needs to go.

Sorry for all the confusion.

Yeah, not too good of a deal for those wanting the dual system, which is why I cancelled my order. Just to much for a piece that should be there anyway

They do offer mufflers I just didn't list them because they have many(stainless, aluminized) choices which can change the price dramatically.

Has anyone or is anyone buying a true G-body 3inch dual exhaust for there car?I have a n/a regal and i was wondering if anyone have a price on just the system..think ill go with them on this but ill have to get my we4 exhaust somewere else.

I want the dual ss 2 1/2,and I gave them my info, but with the y pipe they want 427.76 total with shipping.Jack cotton gave me a price of 629.00 with mufflers.Do any body know how much mufflers go for.
They e-mailed me a price of $119 each for mufflers (only $88 at Summit) so that makes them a good bit more for the "group purchase" special than the price anybody can get by going with the price I noticed from Cottons. BTW - Full Throttle Speed has stainless steel mufflers for $75 each but they are off-set in/center out - like all the other mufflers I have noticed for our cars so they may not be a good fit with the pipes offered in this thread.

Also, $308 gets a 2 1/2" Hooker, aluminized SYSTEM delivered to the door from Summit. Note SYSTEM = all the parts needed not just a couple of bent tubes.

Or from Full Throttle Speed:
$430 for a Dual 2 3/4 aluminized pipes and it comes complete with all hangars and clamps and also includes Magnaflow Stainless steel mufflers.

I'm seriously rethinking this order. A duel 2 1/2 SS is $280+60 shipping + 184 (Magaflows from Summit) = $524 + whatever they want for the SS Y-Pipe.

As mentioned above, might wanna do business with one our known Buick vendors that is not trying to pass off something that is not what it seems.

thanks 3 inch single shots.....

You have to contact the seller, they aren't reading this thread.

Anyways...yeah...sucks that it didn't work out for everyone. I told them just to bill me and ship my order since people were backing out. I got the Y-pipe and the two bent pipes after the Y, the 10% discount for being a TB.com member, and with shipping it was like $195. Spend about $150 on AeroChambers and chrome tipes, so my custom exhaust should cost about $350 total as long as I can get a friend to help me weld, otherwise I'll have to pay a shop for a little bit of labor.

I've got a couple of those aluminized Hooker 2 1/2 systems and they are complete cat back systems with bolts. I bought them at a swap meet for $200 each! I needed on for one of my 87 GN's since the original exhaust had a couple pin holes. My other 87 GN already has one of the Hooker aluminized systems on the car.

I like the sound of the Hooker system better than the stainless ATR system installed on my 87 GN Turbo powered 84 Monte Carlo. The Hooker has a "little" more of a V8 sound.
