The new Rev E extenders are shipping now newest changes:

Calibration is the same. Has new user adjustable features.

User adjustable: Brake-torque/Spool fuel, WOT Lockup, shift lite.
To adjust:
Key on, engine off.
Select what you want to adjust with shifter and A/C (selection shows on INT of scanner)
Press/hold throttle until the setting is reached (shows on BLM of
scanner)
While holding the tps at the desired setting, switch key to off and setting will be saved

Standard features (OL idle, launch assist, lean cruise) can be enabled with using the key-off save procedure, or by setting trouble codes (like before).

All previous stuff is still in Rev E.

Extender Extreme:
This is for 55 lb and bigger injectors on 10.80 and faster cars it will also require MAFT version 6.0 upgrads are available for older units

1 change from REV E:
The extreme will go 768 Grs/sec of airflow. We are driving it now and 74 Delphis drive better than stock smooth as silk. This new phase has opened the door for us to finish another old project which is a higher flow MAF sensor than the LS1. we are nearing the limits of this sensor so we might just have to finish a bigger one if we see the need. The extreme currently works with the 3.5" sensor, 4" billet sensor or the 3.75" LS6 sensor.

Oh yea, ckeck the vendor specials this stuff is on sale!

Mike you're the man. This should keep the tinkerer's up all night changing settings:D

The brake torque/spool fuel---is this so the user can adjust the fuel curve at launch?

Spool fuel is only for brake-torqueing,
TPS between 50% and 85%, below 10 MPH,
When you punch it the regular fuel program is resumed
The default setting for spool fuel is ~13.5:1 most guys won't need to change it.

Well, they say "Invitation is the sincerest form of flattery" but I reckon "If you cannot beat them, join them" fits better.

Why not simply call it the MaxEffort and drop the charade?

Cause it is not a MAX effort it is an Extender. Yes they do some of the same things. But through the years many of the things we invented became part of other folks chips. I don't see the ME going closed loop or with many of the drivability enhancments that we have and I sure don't see it going over 255 gr/sec, much less 768. It is a fine product for a race car but when Steve was having problems figuring out things for his ME ask him who he got the answers from, Bob. Oh and by the way I believe it is imitation not invitation.
Mike Licht

got me there!

I guess I was thinking of Invitation to Imitate.

I congratulate you on your wonderful innovation, Mike.

Following your logic then,
they all should be the
Pitts, Sealander Specials.
They're the two grandfathers of all the GN prom changes.

Without them and Tweaker, we'd still be looking at each other going what if?.

Bob, and Steve do very different things, different ways, and there are just so many ways to do things. It takes being really clever to even move things around to find the room to do the things they do.

Rather then taking a cheap shot at someone they deserve a compliment. That is unless you can do better (yes, that was a cheap shot).

Take all the cheap shots you like, but until you try this new "E" out, well, you know the rest.

Anyway, for the rest of the crowd, I've been playing around with it for a few weeks, and gotta say. These new features are really COOOOOOLLLLLL.

Some folks will prefer one or several features over others. Me, for example, I like to set open loop idle on, and lean cruise (yes it really works).

Then I set my WOT TCC lockup to something in the 85 or so mph range and what a ball, even on the "street". Where I live now, there are NO multi lane highways, so passing on a 2 lane undevided highway is a nasty necessity. Especially multiple cars!!
Once the pass in in progress the torque converter locks up and the car "flies"!!! Way too cool.

With an EGT gauge and knowing what my highway cruise EGT's have been the last few years, it didn't take long to see that it was in fact, leaner! By 50-70 degrees. Should make for some pretty impressive mileage figures. For those that check them ;)

Open loop idle and closed loop driving is the best of both worlds!!

Have fun folks!! You'll love the new stuff!!!

When it comes to cheap shots, Brucie, if your name had been Colt, you would have invented the seven-shooter. :) Feel free to subject me to one of your tantrums.

Bob and Steve Y have been the two innovators currently active in the chip business. I find it sad that one has so seemingly blantantly copied the other.

The good news is I have the Extender chip and would be interested in that upgrade. I would like to try out that lean cruise since the EGT is my next mod.

Dave H., why do you prefer the open loop idle over closed? I am going to try full time open loop with some race gas this summer, with an old O2 sensor (not killing a new one), and tuning by kr. Hope that works. Also, at what mph did the TC lock up before you changed it? My TC was locked up full time before I replaced the solenoid, so I know it feels faster, but I have not locked it at the drag strip.

My favorite is still the anti-theft, convenience mode, and valet all in one! Wonder who thought of that one?? <WINK>

I'm pretty speechless on what this chip can all do and it does it well! My cars have NEVER run this good!

This chip is simply AWSOME! :) Nice work Bob!

My opinion is that the Extender and MaxEffort are the best chips on the market.

WOW, I didn't even get the D series I got in June in the car yet!!!!! You guys are good. Guess I am ordering tomorrow I love the B series I have now.

Yes, as a matter of fact the 1911 (first version of the Colt 45, auto loading hand gun) was a marvelous design (and surprise it held 7 rounds).
Again, you've spoken without having many facts.
No tantrum, just stating facts.
Colt, seven shooter,
during the intial testing, they wore out reloading equipment faster then they had problems with the weapons. Marvelous engineering, and was the work horse of our military for decades.

No one's argueing they are innovators, other then you with your silly comment, in which you take a cheap shot at one.

Steve, there's more than one way to skin a cat. ;)

Personally, I have an extender and am very excited to get mine upgraded! Thanks Bob!!

Donnie...I agree that the Extender is a great chip. It was one that took an unique path. :) For awhile, anyway.

They will seem to have some similarities now, but to me they are still different animals, but they're in the same order. :D Marlin Perkins....watch out!!

Steve, you seem bitter (or at least bothered) by this latest revision. I can't really see why? One out of 3 things is similar (or the same as) the ME and you are acting like he has completely copied Steve's chip. The Extender has been an original chip from the word go, if you ask me. I don't think Bob or Mike for that matter has claimed to be the first to come up with the adjustable spoolup curve. Last time I checked (and it could have changed since then) Steve Y didn't even want to put TCC l/u in his chips at all nevermind an adjustable tcc. He would rather guys do it with a switch. (again, I say that may have changed but that was the way it was at one point).

The other thing is, don't forget that with the new ME-R mafless version, Bob was the one who does the ecm mods for Steve. Nobody seemed to make a big deal over that one. In the end, the end users such as us are the ones to benefit.

Perhaps so. :)

Strange how some jumped up and accused Red of stealing ideas when he intro'd his larger maf. Yet when the programmable features that make the ME unique are transported to the Extender, there are only so many ideas out there, so why not clone them?

Just a question of principle to me and this is America...everyone can have their own. :)
