I consider myself luck that guys like Steve Yaklin, Bob Bailey, Red and others continue to develop products for cars that are bordering the "antique" status.

Thanks to all the innovators, they are what makes our cars so great.

Well put. I hope the (silent) majority feels this way too.

We should all be glad that Bob, Steve, Red and everybody else is out there making these great products for our car's. Or else we all would be complaining that no one is helping us with these Buick's. I guess some people on this board can't offer any help so they grace us with the only thing they can, which is complaints. But I can say the one's on here that always complain and gripe are great at what they do.

This extender extreme has been in testing for a while but a lot of people weren't fast enough to need it. Now people are going faster with the extender and maxing out the MAF and Bob is there with the solution.

Mike Licht,

Is the Extender Extreme going to be as streetable as the regualr Extender? Reason I ask is because I will be sending you my computer to get modified for low imp. injectors, my Extender to get updated for either 65's or 72's, and I will also be buying a double pumper. Currently, the car has gone 11.10's @ 123 with only 21psi. Once I have a better fuel system, I will be looking for 10.70's. You posted that it will be designed for cars in the 10.80 and faster range, but what if Im low 11's high 10's? Will it be as beneficial?

I have the 3.5" LS1 MAF sensor, and the MAF on DS is maxed out at 512, so I think the 768gps would be better for me. What do you think? And also, are these chips ready to be ordered or are you still working on them? Thanks for your time.

The extreme will go 768 Grs/sec of airflow. We are driving it now and 74 Delphis drive better than stock smooth as silk. This new phase has opened the door for us to finish another old project which is a higher flow MAF sensor than the LS1. we are nearing the limits of this sensor so we might just have to finish a bigger one if we see the need. The extreme currently works with the 3.5" sensor, 4" billet sensor or the 3.75" LS6 sensor.

One more question....

Did you make a bigger MAF sensor as mentioned above?

Hi

The Extreme driveability is excellent, I can't tell the difference.

If you're maxing the regular extender then the extreme is a good idea if you're upgrading injectors. I like the 75 Delphi/MSD injectors best.

The Really-Big MAF's are still being refined, The 4" billet ends for the LS1 sensor work well and pick the flow up a bit.

All this stuff is available now.

I couldn't agree more! I call this the Howard Stern syndrome.

"They're ripping me off Robyn, HOO HOO HOO"

WHO CARES who invented what?? It's great to see people still working on projects to get the most out of these cars! Hell, the last GN was made 15 years ago! How many companies would invest time and money into such a limited market?? We should be gratefull to each and every vendor that caters to our needs.

SO WHAT, that 2 or more products are similar. I think there's a term for this ?????????? OH YEA.......SELECTION:rolleyes:

Give me a break:p

Pre-Christmas Sale?

Is the Special Pricing still on for the T-plus & the various Exts?

TIA

Perhaps so. :)

Strange how some jumped up and accused Red of stealing ideas when he intro'd his larger maf. Yet when the programmable features that make the ME unique are transported to the Extender, there are only so many ideas out there, so why not clone them?

That would be me. And if I were to choose the word of Bob or Red, knowing how sharp Bob is, and the fact he's has no reason to BS, I choose Bob's word.

If you do some research, you will find out who designed the setup Red is using as his base. You might be surprized....

Oh, and by the way, a FAST is MAFless and can run open loop under any operating parameter. So I think Bob and Steve both copied the idea from Lance Ward :)

I'm sure Bob helped Steve with stuff, and Steve may help Bob with stuff. I know I have helped Steve with stuff before. Does that mean he stole some of my ideas? If hes using my suggestions, should I be mad?

I hate to say it, but there always seems to be one person in common with the piss and moan/ you stole this idea/ you dont know squat threads, and frankly I'm disgusted.

I also consider Bob and Steve friends, this type of posting plain sucks.

A speed density system (completely programmable) was floating around about 7 or 8 years ago. It was supposed to be sold by one of the big vendors at that time (not me) I did get to play with it and work on it a bit. We drove it from MI to the nats that year too. Spool was lighting fast but it never went anywhere.

If this is the invention I'm thinking of, care to tell the troops who designed it?

If its what I'm thinking, I know it didnt work too well, and lack of interest killed it. But look at the trend now....

With the extender, and the Trans+ you have everything you need for a race or street setup, or anything in between. The chip is still a chip. You can get it's timing curve set to your desires. Mine for example, is a 98 octane variety. In other words the timing is 23º in 1st and 2nd, and 21º in 3rd and 4th.

Now, with the timing adjustments available in the T+ I just set the timing back for street use, and crank it up to "my" race settings when at the track. I then also set the WOT fuel to where I need it, set the WOT TCC lock point to where I like it.

It's almost too easy. I just refer to my notes.

Turn the boost up on my Boost Command, plug in the second solenoid, and I'm pretty much ready to race. The whole setup change takes about 10 seconds. The most time consuming part of my track preps seem to be getting the car on and off the trailer.

All the "hard" stuff is done at home in the garage (changing to race tires). Back the car out. Pump out the tank, and throw the race gas in.

In the new extender chip what all can you adjust.A list would be nice.TurboBob,TurboDave,Mike or anyone
Thanks

Thanks

Fuel: base and WOT

Timing: base and WOT

Spoolup curve

activate launch assist

TCC lockup mph

Open loop idle, lean cruise settings, anti-theft and valet modes

Adjustable shift light

Plus there are all the other non-adjustable already included features like the extended maf range, false KR ingnore, MAF dropout eliminator, quick turbo spool etc, etc.

user settable TCC lockup? really? That is so cool!

Little off topic, but could 2 wastegate solenoids always be run with a BstC, just to avoid hassle of plugging/unplugging?
Is there a disadvantage or shortcoming of running 2 solenoids all the time, such as harder-to-control lower boost levels?

I run two solenoids all the time but it makes it a little more sensitive to adjust when turning the knob on the BstC unit. No biggie, just turn carefully.

Anyone using the Extreme Version of the Extender and large injectors? and has anyone pushed the grams of airflow over 700 yet with it? just looking for those like Mac in SD who have it but have some runs with it, using big injectors and running mid to low 10s.

TIA

I wanted to know if it would be beneficial to purchase just an extender or all 3 of these items at once, to get full benefit:

1.Extender rev. E
2. LT1 3.5in. MAF
3. Trans. +

Also have there been any proven(documented) 60' or ET gains from the Brake-torque/Spool fuel feature?

,Thanks -DC

P.S. My car is for sale/trade! ( dcc2003@tampabay.rr.com )

The Extender chip only works with the Translator and Translator plus. You cannot run one without the Translator setup and the appropriate MAF sensor.
