Hey guys, Chime in here on the fittings and hose you like the best,

Braided stainless, Push LOK, or just plain parts store rubber hose and brass hose barbs with clamp?

I talked to alot of people 18 months ago, don't remember exactly why, but I was told by many that Aeroquip was the best hands down. My car has all aeroquip hose and fittings.

I like Earl's the most for automotive

I will grant you, That Aeroquip has the most extensive line, and is involved in alot of commercial hydraulic stuff,
But for the hot rod do it yourself , I think earl's has good quailty and certainly has RUSSELL beat as far having more types of fittings in their lineup.

I also notice , that JEGS and SUMMIT are now selling their own house brand of fittings and hose, I think summit said that theirs are made by GOODRIDGE

Regards

Aeroquip is a division of Eaton, a well known vertically integrated manufacturer of OEM and aftermarket parts/systems for cars, trucks, the aircraft industry, and heavy machinery of all types.
They manufacture what they design, and I have higher confidence in Aeroquip quality & longevity.

Manufacturing high performance flexible tubing IS rocket-science nowadays, I'd rather buy from an outfit that designs and manufactures their own, rather than from someone else who possibly re-packages low-bidder tubing from a 3rd world country.

IMO, of course ...

Lets not forget about PARKER and WEATHERHEAD, GATES, and GOODYEAR

We are not driving ROCKETS, and our mission is purely F-ing OFF, GOING NOWERE, wasting time and money, JUST TO IMPRESS THE person in the next lane with (TIM ALLEN) rough , rough , rough, my car is faster than yours itimidation.

Matter of fact, I will only use Weatherhead brand when it's necessary to use pipe thread or inverted flare adapters ... especially if a cheap, cracked, chinese Pep Boys fitting could result in loss of brakes or flammable tranny fluid spilling onto a hot header ...

hit the wall going down the track and tell me you don't want the strongest fuel line you could get. Alot of the fitting failures are due to stress over time, not how fast you go, and a 15 second car splitting a fuel fitting can be disasterous. JMHO though. :)

aeroquip is the best on the market.there is a reason they have the exclusive military aviation contract.

i have had good luck with earl's hose and fittings.parker makes some good push-lok hose that i have used for all kinds of things, their "836" line.it has a killer inner tube, approved for damn near anything, and 300 psi @ 300º.good stuff, not cheap tho:).

later,sean

Aeroquip push lock stuff is very nice and affordable. Have used it several times. Some of the Russell fittings are kinda cheezy. XRP stuff is nice too.
