Regarding the Connecticut State Police GN, I did a quick google search and discovered this period writeup dated 1989.

Turns out the GN's were equipped with VASCAR.

I used to see the CT State GN's during family travels to Cape Cod and later years they would use the Mazda MX-6 GT.

The state police would be the ones that would come after you since it's their poster. But I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure that they wouldn't mind you copying it especially since it's intent is to prevent drunk driving. As long as you're not making money, I couldn't see it being an issue.

I bought my 87 GN from EBAY last october.. All was well but when I got home I looked closer at the title and it said "POLICE" on it... I ran a car fax (see it listed here on the site around november under stolen vehicle VIN check ) and it came up on the carfax as a police vehicle. you can see where it had a light bar on the roof, front and rear strobes ect.. pretty cool.
