I cant seem to go over 109-110 mph with my setup and its starting to aggravate me. ive run 12.2-12.4 with those mph, but with my combo im thinking i can get more out of it. Ive tried everything i know, from lowering the fuel to turning up the boost. Only thing i havnt done is actually run a race chip. Just a 100 jay c. alcy chip. Heres what I have

TA-49
Mease Big neck IC
3' DP
Blue tops
2900 PT Stall
Janis Tranny
Power plate
JJ TB mod
Reds old XP pump

My egts are about 1630 with no knock through the traps
FP at 42-44 static
Boost at 22 lbs
No 02 readings since my Power invertor wont work with my volt booster :)

Im starting to think i should invest in a race chip and this might help my mph out

IM running 26x10 slicks also

Thanks
Kevin

Switch to 28" tires.

A race chip may net a few mph, too, but tires will give you the most mph, with zero downsides.

If you use a 26* timing race chip, good race fuel and turn the boost up around 25-26 psi, you will see better E.T's and mph. You would be in the 11's easy.

I was thinking of 28 slicks, but one guy has the same combo as me and hes running 26x10 and trapping 115. Something is holding it back, just not sure which route to take.

IMHO,

go over everything in your current combo first..... Clean out the IC, start with fresh plugs, fresh fuel filter, etc....

28" tires, race chip and gas. If that still doesn't give you results, look into valve spring fatigue. Get you scan tool to work and give you 02 readings!

Ic is brand new, plugs are new, FF is new :)
Im getting a bigger inverter, so it will work.

Thanks
Kevin

Do you race with the shifter in D,, do you lock the convertor?
I ran 116 with 275 50s, which aren't even 26". Probably 114 or so is about it in D(convertor locked), and it doesn't gain much once you have to shift to OD. Are you topping out D before the end of the 1/4?

I gained 1.5-2 mph switching from 26" Nittos to 28" BFGs. Went from 115+ to 117.05 mph with just this change.
