Greetings all,

Does anyone make a fiberglass or Carbon fiber body for the Gn regals ? ( everything from floor pan to roof )

wouldnt be very structurally sound witout a tube frame. I saw a little bit back a front clip made out of fiberglass. Good luck on the carbon fiber.

Before ....

bowling green customs went out of business, they were offering carbon fiber panels, including a whole body. Maybe one of the old timers might remember. I had previously stopped doing business w/them when I saw the advertising. As a matter of fact, there was some c/f products for sale not to long ago on one of these boards. Might do a search.

That's where I heard it from. It was about 10 years ago I heard that someone was offering a whole body and the price was around $6000.00.

I've never seen a complete body kit but man that would be cool and expensive. If I ever ever win the lottery I'll be the first to start making one. Heck I'd even make it out of lighter carbon/carbon.

Ken at Token Fiberglass (at one point) was considering making them.. Don't think he ever did..

You can always he, he might be willing to..

What about metal body's ? Are there complete replacements out there ? (Other than a donor car).

Fiberglass GN Body Oneida,TN

Creative Glass Works in Oneida,TN use to make the complete GN Body.
I have a catalog somewhere with the complete body in it.
Considered one myself, several years ago. But, I didn't have the chassis for it.
And, I planned on some street duty. Not a good choice.RACE ONLY!! ULTRA LIGHT!!

I think that may be where Jim Dotson's glass body came from.

Maybe someone from the TN area can chime in with more info on the company. And whether they are still in business or not.

They use to advertise they did the bodies for the Grave Digger Monster truck. And others well know trucks and custom rods, etc.

rodnrace.com

They have a front clip Prostock style -fenders , header panel and bumper as one unit.($895) They have doors assembled inner and outer panels, rear body panel with bumper, dashboard, 2 styles of hoods(pin on or regular hinged) and trunk lid(pin 0n). What's nice is you can order any of these items in either Street or Race weight. rodnrace.com

We were considering doing it and even contacted a manufacturer about it. It would have cost $12,000 for the first one and about $6000 I think for each one after that. We didnt get a whole lot of response or I would have followed up on it more.

carbon fiber fiber glass good but old

if you going to spend the thousands like cycle j said, at least make it out of carbon kevlar or dry carbon

Pure JUNK:mad:
Ive spent hours and hours trying to save there junk i bought. The rear clip is trash(Ive got 2 and both are 1/2 to narrow) and the doors didnt even fit in the door jams. The left door is to thick and i had to chop up the inside skin just to make it fit the opening and be flush with the body:rolleyes: Dont get me started ive got hours in to the stuff i got from those guys. Last time i called the they hungup on me. Stay away and try Glasstek..

Wow, thanks for the heads up:eek: We are going to be looking very soon that doesn't leave but one other company right?

Glasstek either made their molds from VFN stuff or vice versa. Thats why all their stock photos look the same.
