Hey guys,

I finally got the joint between my up-pipe and turbo to seal properly, and now that THAT leak is gone, I noticed another one right in the middle of my up-pipe, where I assume the flex-joint is. I was thinking about biting the bullet and getting one of the Jay's-GN uppipe (pricey, i know, but I ended up getting a better paying research gig than I thought this term, so I'm feeling a little extravagant) but was wondering how well it fits. I know I've heard a LOT about the old ATR and Poston's up-pipes not fitting right, and I assume with the flex joint that the Jay's GN piece cures that problem. But then again, we all know what happens when you ass-ume, right?

Just wondering how those who have the Jay's GN peice like it, and if there were any fitment issues for stock headers/turbo.

Oh also, with the Jay's GN pipe, how do you seal the up-pipe to turbo joint?

Thanks for any imput

I have the JaysGN uppipe with the Postons Headers. It fits perfectly in my case. The ATR uppipes are hard to find and the Postons does not fit(experience here) their headers. The JayGN uppipe attaches to the turbo the same way as the stock one and is a direct replacement. I am happy with the JayGN uppipe and have not had any reason at all to put my original back on. I have an ATR and let me tell you, the fitment SUCKS at best.
There was about a 3/8 gap at the bottom and no matter what I did (Rotate the turbine housing etc) I could not get it to fit.
I ended up purchasing a "flexible piece" and had it welded in the center section.

You may want to locate a stock unit.
With all the conversions, the stock up-pipes should be a dime a dozen.

i was once quoted a price of $75 to have a 2.5" up pipe made at an exhaust shop.
