So after months of not touching my car I took today of work with two goals.
Replace front upper control arms and get fresh long block installed.
Upon tightening the converter to the flywheel I noticed one converter boss was touching the flywheel and the other two had like 1/4 inch gap.
Rotate the converter and the touching location remained in the same spot on the flywheel and did not follow the converter boss.....
So WTF. It is a stock flywheel. How should I verify it is the flywheel?
Thanks. I have a feeling I'm going to need another day off to remove the engine again.
Give me some ideas guys.
Thanks

Chinese crank ? They seem to have a large chamfer that will not allow the plate to sit flat. Seen plenty of this at Bison's shop.

Did you push the converter up against the flywheel with the crank pilot engaged? If not there Is there a chance that the converter is just tilted under its own weight within the pump bushing clearance.

Well I pulled it back out. Installed a spare flywheel I had laying around and now all is ok.
I have no idea how the flywheel could have gotten bent but.....
