fm 7116ch mains tab is wrong?

I had the same issue on FM 7144 MA .020 last month. Except mine was the rear main cap and it was a lot worse. Billy Anderson told me to file it off and center it anyway I liked. So I did. Motor has about 300 miles so far so good. This is a 109 not a stage.

Thanks, it looks like the cap is made wrong, since i found a set of stock bearings to compare it to. Guess i will be filing it off, and hope it holds?

It's not going any where.:biggrin: If the cap is made wrong then maybe a different cap.

Mine was strictly a bearing MFG issue.

The tang only locates the bearing in the cap, forward or backward and has nothing to do with holding the bearing in place, bearing crush does that.
