Congrats.:)
Where's it at?

Is it possible to tie all of this together with Bates?

I know I'm dreaming but....................

:):):)

Perhaps even next year?

Talk about a reason for the more "Eastern" guys to come out.......

The coast of California in May..... Some easily accessible track time with minimal BS. A great place to meet up, have some food and a beer.

And then the best get together venue known to the TB community.

Where's the down side?

This could become much more of the great time than it is already .....Something very, very, very special and cool... Or maybe I'm jus' dreamin' again. (BTW, I love it just like it is, thank you Mike and company)

Congrats Ralph!
Hey...I know of a cool clucker in the Southwestern section who has the most secure and low cost credit card processing technology and customer loyalty solutions that will help you lower your costs to a poultry sum, increase your profits by more than just a poultry sum and grow and retain your customer base.

You know how to reach him....cluck cluck cluck

Be careful Ralph. Don't forget about the last time Tim and his buddies tried to pressure you into something.:D

Congratulations Ralph. I have been to that location a few times. Probable triple the size of the other location and much better parking.

Been doing some homework.
I've been striking out with a Fontana private track rental, or finding anyone to join in with, without dropping 6K.

Option#2. De (USMC_turbo6) here, knows one of the guys who helps run the Barona 1/8th mile drag strip. De gave me his number.
After some phone tag, I was able to get a hold of the track manager (Rick). He seems like a very cool dude.
Here's a link to the track website. http://www.baronadrags.com/
Most weekends that they race, or have events, they have a lane open for test and tunes. This is a track that you can get in lots of runs at. It's not far from Bates Nut Farm.

The spoolfool 2 cents:
The last few times that we organized something at a 1/4 mile track, 75% of the Turbo Buicks struggled to get down the track without some sort of mechanical or tuning issues.

I talked to Nick Micale about this. He suggested having a tech session at the Bates car show. Let's get these things running like they should. Then do some shake down sessions at Barona. It shouldn't be too hard to get Turbo Lou involved, as The Barona Drag Strip is right next to The Barona Casino.;)

If we are to some day go in on a 1/4 mile track rental with some other groups, I'd like to at least like to know that we can spank the crap out of them while doing it.:D

Thoughts...

If anyone is in the area the Friday night before Bates- On Grand Ave. in Escondido they have cruise night. It is supported by the city and it happens every Friday night during the summer. You could just cruise down the street or park and view all the cars or site outside at one of the local resturants. Grand Ave is east of the 15 freeway. Might be somthing to think of doing as a group.

Spoolfool, speak with Donnie Wang, as he is buddies with the guys at barona,
also his wife works there!

I'd make the trip over....... Anything to get the Snoozer on the track.

Your just excited to find a track that you haven't been kicked out of yet.:D

I believe I just might be offended....

What ever do you mean?????? o_O:D

Beside's I'll probably get in at least 3 passes before they catch on.................

I'm in the same boat you are. Many of us are. I'm going to try to get down there for a little T and T recon, and see just how strict they are.;)

Barona sounds like a great idea. Its a great track and they are not strict at all on tech. I dont have a rollbar and have never been kicked out of Barona yet haha..

Depending on how many cars show up or if done in conjunction with a big event...the only potential downside is pit parking. The paved asphalt areas aren't that big and you'll end up parking in the dirt which sucks. Ask me or Ray Bunch about that.:D
