unless you are on stock chip you would want an adjustable to set that pressure to what the chip makers wants , typically 43-45psi base pressure (line off )
for you with a TT chip his instuctions with the chip state to set base to 43 and see where the blms take you...
whats your base fuel pressure at right now ?
regulators in our car are used to restrict the flow to keep the pressure where we want it, so flow of the regulator isn't important for WOT ... its the pump that needs to flow
the regulator top half has a spring set on top of diaphragm with a plate in the center that covers the outlet port at the bottom , the vac port in the top assist the spring with vacuum or boost to raise or lower the plate and control the pressure,... adjustables have a plate on top of the spring that goes to a screw through the top to vary the base pressure by squeezing the spring
important is that the regulator be set to the base (line off) pressure to work with your chip and with line on at idle the pressure should drop ~1psi for evry 2in/hg on your vacuum gauge and needs to rise one to one with boost.
use a good accurate gauge for this ....dont trust those little 15$ rail gauges
when it doesn't drop with vacuum applied or doesn't rise 1-1 with boost thats when you need to stop and find out if the regulator needs replacing or if you have other issues like a weak pump (fuel delivery) or bad vac source
as for which adjustable one , there's accufab (billet alum black) , kirban billet (and others sell it as well) and years ago there were the billet top bosch stockers .......really doesn't matter as they all operate the same ...its more of a what do you want to look at under your hood
