i thought m&A HEADS have bolt holes in the center of the valve cover,at least the ones on my car do

They came both ways. From what I've seen the ones that were made to use individual rockers had centerbolt. The ones that came ready for shaft mounted rockers had the perimeter bolts like the stock ones.
