The trans and converter are perfect. Problem has got to be something with the shifter or solonoid. Im going to replace the electric shifter solonoid with an air operated one and see if that fixes it. Mike

Air operated might be more reliable. More "force", less susceptable to interference, etc.

Started the installation today. I had everything I needed to do the job , now just a matter of rewiring and a little extra air line. Mike

Gee, wonder if you will see signs of head gasket damage, with those wimpy head studs .

We should be on somewhat even ground Mike. I've got all kinds of new untested stuff on mine including a new air actuated shifter.

I HOPE to get to shake everything down BEFORE BG if my new transmission ever shows up - it's only about a month late. If not I guess it'll just be a matter of who's junk breaks first.:biggrin:
