:confused: Brian I drove over 300 miles to install the headliner you sent to me. The color was fine but you sent me a headliner that is for a moon roof Turbo T and not a hard top that I needed. The paper work is correct that was sent with the headliner. It does NOT say for a moon roof. I have called and left you a phone number to call me first thing on Tuesday so that we can resolve this problem. I hope that you will stand behind your product and help me out because I really need to get this installed before I leave on Wednesday evening, This would mean that I would need you to send it over night to me in Michigan. Also can you get me a return tag for the wrong headliner so that I can send this other one back to you when the other one shows up. I would hope that this all would be at no charge to me due to the fact that this is not my mistake. Thank you for your time. Tony
 
Tony it was a simple mistake by a new employee. Your replacement shipped Friday. Your Tracking # was e-mailed directly to your e-mail on Friday. Only thing we ask is to send the moon roof back on our account.

Sorry we were not here all weekend to answer your calls. It was a holiday weekend. We did have a skeleton crew here Saturday.I have no idea why you would feel you would be charged for this.:confused:
 
No problem Brian, Thank you for taking care of this. It would have been better if you were to have atleast gave me a call on Friday just to give me heads up on the mistake. I would have made different plans and not drove all the way to Michigan until the correct one arrived. That's my only concern. But thanks again for taking care of this, It makes me want to continue to do more bussiness with you in the future. I was only worried about having to pay to return the Item because it's on your invoice at the bottem of it, That's why. The other one is all boxed up and ready to be sent back to you as soon as the the other one arrives. :)

I even talked to you today and you seemed like you didn't even care that you are making me wait here in Michigan. Kathy said she was going to call me before the end of the day with some information on where the headliner was. And she NEVER did. I really think that you never sent it out on Friday like you said. I think thats a bunch of SH**. I take back what i said about doing more business with you guys if this is how you take care of your customers then I don't want to be one. Thanks so much for making me wait here in Michigan I hope that you are happy with yourself. You just lost another customer because you are not honest. If you just would have been up front in the first place about the sending the wrong headliner this would have never happened. I'm very upset and very disappointed as you can tell. Lets see what else you can tell me that's not true!!!!!!

On our first shipment you told me you didn't recieve a tracking # that was generated thru DHL but recieved a wrong headliner.Well that is why since I have shipped with DHL, fed ex,UPS they have auto generated tracking #'s.

AND SHE NEVER DID! :rolleyes: WAHHHH!

I hate to tell you this but when a person calls 5 times a day we put em to the back of the line.

Where's my tracking #? When did you ship mine back? Most companies will not refund or ship but make you pay even if THEY screw up.
Prime exaple ACC Carpet sent me 20 non logoed mats. Oh well crap happens Charge my card get more to me & credit it when your company recieves them back.

We take care of our customers, whiny bitches we have a list for.
Oh my yes There was another Anthony In NY we shipped 1 to on Friday We got his back today.Another dishonesty on my part.

I'll personally plan on finding your shipment tomorrow when I get back to the office & stopping it first thing.
When we get the old 1 back I will let it proceed.
Funny I will be able to do this with 1 e-mail!

Monday was a vacation Day,Memorial day & I'm sure shipping was crazy on all Companies Tuesday.It's not only you I had 10 calls Tuesday wondering why an order placed on monday wasn't processed :confused: :rolleyes:
Grow up it's a freaking headliner.Maybe this action will help with your maturity level.

When we get ours back yours will proceed. Don't call e-mail.
As far as driving 300 miles get it shipped to where you are at!

WOW !!!

And people say things about purchasing from a non-supporting vendor. Another potential customer lost for life here. I can not believe this board allows you to be a supporting vendor. I can not understand why ANYONE would ever do business with you again, and I'm certainly glad I never did.

Holy Cow!!! Yikeeeees! I'd never want to be treated like Onefastgn. This is absolutely crazy, and there's no way to downplay it at all. Rude is Rude!!!!
 
Well Brian it seems that you have a problem. I contacted you prior to even ordering the headliner to make sure it was the correct one and you assured me it was. Then I drove 300 miles to MI to install it and I received the incorrect one. I called to let you know and Kathy said you sent the corrrect one out on Friday, which it seems like out of common courtesy someone would have called and let me know about the mistake but that is beside the point. Then I should have received the correct one today since it was sent last Friday and when I didn't I called twice ( not 5 times like a "whiny bitch") to find out what was going on. When no one returned my phone calls I posted as a last resort on a friend's computer as I am out of town. I don't understand the ridiculous and inappropriate message you sent me in return, what kind of a company sends their unhappy customers to the "back of the line" anyway? Just send me the correct headliner and I will send the wrong headliner back and we can part ways. I hope that the board reads this and someone will contact GBody parts so we can resolve this.

We can't talk to you 5 times a day & accomplish what you want.I hired Jordan today just to take care of this. So impatience & inability to check tracking #'s has caused me to have to hire yet another person & the costs will be passed along to you the customers.

Bryan (phone guy), Agent86, & who ever thinks this is rude I really don't care. You see what time this was posted last night & I'm in here today at 5 am taking care of e-mails & processsing orders.You haven't been on this side of the fence with Tony yet.

What I think is rude is calling non stop & acting like a whiny Bitch as the term I used. It's not just me it's every vendor I talk to has the same problems.
It's hard to take care of any customers when you have 1 going off over the edge.

I heard the explanation well I'm not near a computer. Well it is a little hard to believe when you see posts & you get to hear a phone message from Tony like I did when I came in this morning. Yes that call was before he posted.
 
Brian I'm just trying to get my headliner ( The correct one ) I told you that I had the other one ready to go out just as soon as the other one comes in. We can go on and on about BS but it would be alot easier if you would just send the headliner and I would send the other one back. That would be the end of this. You would be upset to if you were waiting all week for the headliner ( put yourself in my shoes ) I now have to drive back home without getting the headliner done. It's a big pain in the butt to take time off work and try to do this. I hope that you can understand my concerns and hope that you will do the right thing. Like I said before I have been using a friends computer all this time so that we can resolve this problem. Again Brian if you send the headliner to me you will get the other one and we can put this to rest. It's that easy. You have my phone number if you would like you can give me a call I would hope that we could all be adults about this and get this resolved for the both of us.

It is very obvious that you dont care. I personally chose Jack Cotton as my vendor for my GN, and as a new comer to turbo Buicks I have probably tried Jacks patience with phone calls. I am sure that vendors get overwhelmed with these calls, but not once has Jack ever treated me in this manner or posted anything like this. I know that I am not alone in my feelings. I just happen to have the Balls to post them. Take a break...Good luck.

What happened to the days of handling your problem with a business/retailer owner on a person to person basis(or phone call one on one) in private? If I make a mistake in my business I handle all matters in PRIVATE with the customer..not in a public forum.

Onefasgn...I understand you are upset but do you have to come on the boards and crucify Brian? Arent you human? Dont you make mistakes? If this situation had gone on for weeks and was not resolved then I would be the first to tell you to give Gbody bad feedback. I think you are being premature in your actions by posting this now. I own a business and I can relate to the headache Brian is talking about. Give the man a break...let him resolve this accordingly. This society expects things done in 30 minutes..it doesnt work like that in real life.

As far as Brians response...it was a no holds barred, unpolitically correct response and I admire it. He is only defending his actions and saying whats on his mind. Where would we be with our cars if not for these handful of vendors? And handful is the key.... Dont you think they have thier hands full being so few trying to handle so many GN nuts out there trying to go 1/10 tenth faster and look prettier? Of course I am one of those nuts.;)

87NAT, this is why we have feedback forums, so peole can hear both sides of the story. Tony has planned this out so he could drive from the Quad Cities all the way to Michigan where his car is. I'd be pretty upset if it was wrong as well. Mistakes happen and tony's original post wasnt rude at all. He wants this figured out before he comes back home. As far as the name calling, I cant believe it. I have supported GBodyParts and reffered a TON of customers to them but and I am personally very dissappointed that those kind of things were said. Brian, you usually send me a return shipping order when mistakes have been made on my parts, did you send Tony one? If so, could you track that so you know it's coming back to you? If so, wouldnt that work out for the both of you? Tony is a very nice guy and one of my best friends, I know how badly he wanted to get this new BAD ASS headliner in! Let's just give both sides a break here and get business done so everybody is happy!
 
JDPOLZIN, I disagree with you. I feel that his communication/inquiry with Gbody thru the forum was the wrong thing to do. Thats why Brian has a phone number...so he can talk to his customers.:rolleyes:

Once the transaction is COMPLETED or NOT COMPLETED then it should be brought to this board for "feedback" on how it went... good or bad. Like I said after a few weeks if something is not resolved then you can hang that person out to dry...but until then give them some slack. I support this feedback area wholeheartedly and it is a good tool for future customers to look at. I go back to my original point in that he was premature in posting his dealings with Brian before it was all said and done. If Brian was rude and he lost customers thats his doing but I think he was provoked and he lashed out. I sure have had my customers provoke me on a bad day and it wasnt pretty. Did I regret it afterwards...sometimes, but not always. You have to stand your ground in business and Brian felt that it was brought out on the boards openly so he dealt with it.

Christ he had the balls to Call Kasci & ask her if she could re-ship another unit because I stopped it. He appologized & was nice as hell according to her.He even promised I'll come back & post something positive. Kasci being nice stated yes. She almost lost her Job today & that is my wife.:mad:

Guys that act like bad asses behind the key board & on answering machine telling me how to run my business I don't need. I didn't get here from doing this part time to where I am by being an arrogant ass.

I just got stuck 2 weeks ago by a guy in FL for $1800+. Read the FL. section where I posted looking for some one in Hollywood Fl.
I get stuck about $5-7K a year by trusting & being nice.
People misjudge kidness as weakness.

I now know why Joe Harrington,Tray Crease,Mike McCoy & others got out.
I talk to alot of vendors & you would be shocked how many had enough.
I never thought I would get to this point but I'm about done. I have enough $ in parts & cars I don't have to do this.

I don't have to give away parts for mothly prizes we are busy enough.
I don't have to help support the Bristol race But I am.
I don't have to donate to other events for business but we do.
We give back to the communitty.
Why? I don't know when you ship a persons part & they are posting on Labor day.

87Nat hit the nail on the head there shouldn't even be a post on here on a Monday. But when you call a ton of times over a holiday weekend e-mail & post & PM with no response I guess you lose a sense of reality.There is a post in the feed back guide lines that state this before posting.

Here is the deal when I get your part that was mistakenly shipped to you then you will get your other sent out. New company policy Thanks to you & others.
It will ship back on our account so I don't have to hear well I took it to the UPS store & they charged me $75 to return a part that we shipped for $10.

Don't like it don't buy from me.When I had enough I'll just close the doors.

Brian, I'm not trying to bust your balls or Tony's balls here and I hope you know that. Unfortunately, your right, the TB community has been going down hill the past 3-4 years as far as trust and business go. I can assure you that Tony is a fantastic guy and is completely straight up as far as getting that back to you. I just know that in the past when orders were wrong when I recieved them, you have been very helpful in getting me the correct part and having no inconvenience aside from time as far as that goes. Tony was PUMPED about this new headliner from you and trust me, I heard about it! "This this can be folded up into a million pieces and still retain the shape, easy to install, etc!" I'm sticking up for both parties here and trying to justify everything for the both of you. Maybe I just shouldn't get involved?? We all need to try to develop the community that this once was. I can understand that Tony is upset about it and I can understand that you dont want to get screwed. If he did screw you, I'd pay for it for him! Honestly, in my opinion, things have been blown way out of porportion.

The feedback section does work when someone, either a vendor or a customer, feels uncomfortable about a situation and it seems to get worked out when we post on here. I dont post unless I'm reall really pissed because it always brings some drama but it's a good way to get both parties happy.

CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!!!??:confused: :D

Brass balls would have been you admitting that you went off the deep end,( no excuses ), diffusing the situation by allowing the shipment to continue, finalizing the deal,making sure that you got your headliner back from him, and then parting ways.
Yes I have run a business before. I owned a telecom company for 8 1/2 years. It sucks to have to chase people for money( I've written-off $60,000.00 a year, and had hospitals,mortgage companies and even 6 long distance companies file bankruptcy on me) or listen to people bitchin but its part of being in business. Yes it hardened me too. I dont claim to know what went down to get this started, I just think that it was not handled professionally.
I was hoping to get a headliner from you as well. I posted a question for you about weather or not your moonroof liner would fit a dealer installed unit, I got no reply and moved on assuming that I will have to have a local shop custom make mine. I did not flame you for not replying. Nor did I for not returning my call about a shifter cable back in June after leaving a message. Should I have? NO. Why...because it was not needed and it served no purpose.

Your opening post was very provoking. I understand Brian getting pissed-off, just not how it was handled. If you were having a hard time contacting Brian, by all means post that you emailed a phone number to get ahold of you that there was a problem with the shipment. But that is where it should have stopped. +1 for 87Nat, this matter and others should be handled in PRIVATE to begin with, then if you dont get anywhere by all means go public. This should never have gone this far. Now both will suffer.
