Gen 7 PWM/syclone boost ctrl solenoid

I ahve a Gen 7 that I want to use the PWM ouput on with the syclone boost solenoid. Does anyone have any info on this? Does the ECU drivers have enough balls to run the solenoid or is there a relay required? Anyone have any experience with using an aftermarket ECU with this type of solenoid?

Depending on the manufacture date the box can deliever up to 1 amp output. Check the accel upgradepdf file for your ecm version it will tell you the date the 1 amp drivers were out. You can't use a relay as its a PWM output.

By looking in the software, it seems mine is a 5.1 version....

Noah, read the PDFs that document the features in each release. Don't use the driver alone. Use the output to drive a SSR and it will be fine.

You will find that version 5.0 and higher ECMs implement the PWM functionality. It will be a speed vs. load graph with programmable duty cycle.
