Talking to my girlfriend online tonight since we spent the holiday with our own families and didn't get to see each other. I told her I felt lazy for sitting around most of the day listing the car parts that I want to buy this winter. Her response: "is there really so much more to do to your car anymore?"

If she only knew... modifying never ends... in my case it's hardly begun!

The Gf learned early on how it was w the car... Once the GN has to be repaired she know its all about the car. Mine wants an engagement... I told her once I get a 10 sec time slip you will get your ring.... Of course she will never know when i do, but thank god realisticly its no time soon... What I dont like is that cars are starting to rub off on her, I guess Im gd till she figures out what combos can do what....

I have my wife...but my car IS my G/F:eek:
took some time but,she has accepted this now:biggrin:

I was out with a friend a week or so ago and she said "if you cut your balls, do sperms come out?"

My quasi-gf called my car a mexican mobile last night. I about choked her out!!!

The Hispanic girls at my office call my car the Mexi-mobile. It's better than Monte Carlo.

My wife too has told me that I love the car more than her.....I simply can not answer that question.

She also thinks that no matter what I will die at the track. I need to get her behind the wheel and down the lane, her tune will change.

I took her to the O'Reilly Auto Parts Nationals a couple of years ago. After she saw the first two top fuel cars go down the track she told me she wants to drive those. I told her you need to start at the bottom and then you can drive TF. She simply said "no, I want to drive those now".

She watched the Pinks marathon with me yesterday and was asking all kinds of questions about racing....this may be the start to something good.....at least the end of some of my heartburn.

Like I've told my wife "Rather I f*ck with my car than another woman." Usually after that she lets me do whatever I want

All of these are sooo true. The Regal has been through 2 wives and countless gf's and unlike the ex-wife, the T has never parked itself in anyone else's garage.

Well........I kinda turned the tables on the gf..........she asked me if I would clean the big mirror because she can't reach the top without a step stool......and being the trooper I am, I agreed. As I was about done with it, she walked through the room and glanced over and without skipping a beat said, " you missed some spots in the corner".........not even giving the thought that I might not be ALL the way done yet..........so I sprayed the glass cleaner on again and walked out to the garage.......

sheeez I'm getting old....

Female point of view......take her to the track.

I was into cars before I met my husband back in 1987. Married for 16 years now - we both like cars. He more then me, but as long as the money is available fine by me. Yes - it is nice when you spend time in the garage - I'll come out to drink, watch and Bullsh1t and go away. I like my own time too.

We've owned too many cars over the years as anyone who loves cars has. I'm the one who pushed for the stage 2 motor. Together we have 3 turbo regals and a tta plus some other non Buicks. I don't really care how many we have. Turbo Buicks are great cars.

We both race although I still get nervous with people watching me. Too afraid that I'll make a mistake although never have yet. It is nice to see more females racinging. Back in the 80's I never saw many in my neck of the woods. I saw Melissa run at Cecil in Oct - simply amazing.

I'll spend money on a car anytime but I'm not really high maintenance. Get the chick out to the race track before you marry her. Car people will always be car people. No one can change that. Hell my husband and I line up against each other when ever we can. It's fun!

Seriously - take her out to the track to see what's it all about. We are just as competitive. Unless you just want another mother - no dis-respect intended (there are those who don't like females knowing more about a car or kicking their a$$ at the track - LOL). Someone always knows more and runs better is my motto.

Good luck - hope she joins the fun.
