It says to ensure proper operation of the turbo charger unit, to change oil every 7500 miles? Are you on crack? I don't care WHAT expert in oil you are, there's no way in god's green earth that the oil you had back in 1987 lasted that long, especially with a turbo on the car. No way. Not havin' it. That was the dumbest thing I've ever read in my life. Oil change intervals greater than 3000 miles are fairly new to passenger cars. I don't get where they got that at. Looks to me that GM was trying to set you up for failure right out of the gates lol.
Was this a typo?

Yeah I think that they should have left off a zero

But think of the shocked expressions from regular folks if they actually put the real number on there.
"Change your oil every 3000 miles". Say what???? - or - Change you oil with every fill up.

But recall, the LM9 / LC2 Buick turbocharging thing wasn't always marketed as a hi-po, axe wielding barbarian type car, but was Buick's way of reacting to the new world order for MPG, and some performance from a V6.
You go telling John Q. Public they need to change their oil every month, you're probably going to scare some regular folks off.

I do every 2500-3000 miles, sometimes sooner lol. We're not regular folks though-we're a little OCD. Ah well. I still think that change interval was wayy too long.
