"GNX clone" goes 0- 60 in two seconds! but then takes another 11.2 seconds to reach 105 MPH when it finished the quarter mile.
And the clone doesn't look very well cloned.

YouTube - 1987 Buick Grand National (GNX Clone Project) + Test Ride 0-60 in 2 seconds, burnout at end

Why do people make outlandish claims and seek to confuse the general public?

An uneducated person who just got his F&F dvd and decided to buy a gn who decided to throw some junk on it. Now he feels like an expert

come on.. it's got a GNX badge on the grille and GNX on the center caps of the "GNX style" wheels. it's also got the GNX differential cover..
that means it's a GNX clone.

If you look at the vid when he tries to power brake it only shows a small amount of smoke and it looks like it's only from one side. Bet it a peg leg.

ahhhhhhhhh..... come on guys give the guy a break...... it wasnt the worse car we have seen...... and he did put GNX clone PROJECT.... maybe the guy is saving up for the body work [vents and flares]..... and who cares if those are Kirban style wheels NOT close to GNX wheels:eek:.... ive seen a whole lot worse

What a turd. 0-60mph in 7 sec

I CANNOT STAND when people call those GNX wheels or GNX style wheels they look nothing like GNX wheels, they're actually UGLY with that solid piece around the lugnuts. Also looks like dude needs to wash his car.

Driving around on the streets doing burnouts with one hand and recording with the other.

i was thinking that they are more like "Beretta style" wheels than "GNX style" wheels..

Let him live a little man. At least the guy is sporting a GN and drives it regularly. I cant even say that I do that. Wait a minute, I actually own nothing that I can drive down the street at the moment!!

Give the guy a break. At least he's not cruising a Mustang.

wowyou guys are mean old rat hating bastards! (reminded of the inglourious basterds rat analogy haha)

was I seriously the only who enjoyed the fact that this guy will probably just spin a bearing a sell it, i was thinking long term what a nice car to buy that probably hasn't been touched by the right hands but it doesn't mean shes a whore, another words I would love to buy it I bet its in relative good condition.

anyways on a new LOCAL beer. More local then Stone Brewing Company (which is what I have been drinking for the past 2 years). Now I am loving BOOTLEGGER'S from Tustin California really close to where I live. Their Double IPA is the best I have ever had, its called the knuckle sandwich. Microbrew Drink Local.....Cheers!

It's my money and I'll spend it the way I want...

I own an original and a modified 1987 Buick Grand National (1+1=2)...

THIS IS MY 87 GN GNX GSX, VIPER Street Driven Azz Kicker...
couple words and the men on this site have a stroke and act like an ex in need of money for toilet paper, simply becuz I wrote a couple words on YOUTUBE... who died and made you king of the GN / GNX market... then you need to come here for moral support like a bully at school... see my point of view...

Did the speedo go from 0-60 in 2 seconds... hell yes, did the car, hell no...
so what.... so what.... does that make you mad... c'mon man... where are the guys from the NFL, c'mon man.... give me a break...

Keyboard Gangsters tired becuz end of summer and you don't drive your trailer garage queen race car 900 HP 8 sec 150 mph... on the street like I do... as for my VERSION of a GNX Clone... what is wrong???

Name one GNX owner from 2008 and forward that will drive over nite without a trailer and more than 1,000 miles a trip.... anybody -- any GNX driven... not stored!!!! not on a trailer... how many people actually drive a car with actual GNX parts , not stored in a climate control envirnoment for the almighty dollar... especially in this crappy market...

While everybody is saving and selling -- I am spending and driving my Grand National with GNX ACCENTS... features... as for Kirban Style Reproduction Rims $1,099... I wanted them, I got em, I wanted GNX Turbo Shield, I wanted it I got it.... I wanted to meet Nickelback instead of spending money on GN, another $1100... oh yeah, needed more Buick Parts again this month, oops another $1500... oh yeah now I need alky and a few othr parts, another $4,000 in parts... and then paint and SW Gauges $2,000 plus paint...

who cares... and it isnt even a real GNX...
so in any case, when I die, I will give my GN and GNX Clone away to one loving BUICK DIEHARD person who will not be about the almighty dollar...
what will the value of my 2 cars be... 45 years from now... maybe I'll have a few more collectors to give away... at least I know the bashers dont want or have a taste in my view of collector autos / parts...

GNX CLONE is a way of promoting and letting people know yes they do exist and yes it is a GNX freaking clone, not a CLOWN... no it will never be like the GNX built by Kash... I don't want that... maybe you do, I DO NOT...
I purchased and installed HRpartsNstuff rear end becuz of going to the GS Nationals and racers using HR parts.... why spend $5,000 on clone....

When I'm done - maybe I'll have $35,000 - $45,000 stuck into, but so what...
I CAN sell my toys and buy faster toys or watch you and write or shoot photos... to each his or her own...

OK, I have one garage queen that is more valuable to me than any GNX, becuz I bought it NEW with 153 miles.... I'm an ORIGINAL OWNER.... how many GN owners can say that.... that they are the only owner and it is original...
now I have a 2nd GN and I wnt to modify it, anything I want.... anything...

If I were not living in 2 states Wisconsin and Maine, I'd be driving around with 18" GNX Style Rims and my GNX Clone project would be completed 8 years ahead of schedule...

Mean People suck... no wonder road rage exists, I hope you drive safer on the road -- bashing me...

Reminds me of the story where the guy found a grand national and everybody helped, like the theory pay it forward... except not in this thread...

what a waste of bandwidth, time and energy...
that youtube spills over to here...

I hate to burst your bubble but this is far from a GNX clone, its a Grand National with a couple of bolt-ons...GTA/Mesh style rims and an aluminum diff cover...if you had fender flares and fender vents to go along with the grill emblem you would have better luck backing up your claim. Don't get me wrong it is still a nice car and sounds like it runs good for the mods done to it.

3 days ago @nuklrsix so your saying if I have every GNX part but did not install it... then what, it is a GNX CLONE PROJECT... 10 years... March 2008 - 2018 --

when I purchased this car... it was NOT road ready to DRIVE...

p.s. I have flares and vents... and plans to buy SW (Stewart Warner Gauges) from Paul Castle... world of motorworks... you know the splice from Casper Elect. required... the GNX Cover is from Richard Clark... HRpartsNstuff from Paul Ferry... maybe you know some of these people!!!

0-60 in about 6-7 seconds. What was the point of this vid? If your car is capable of running low 10's (which its not even close) and hooking hard then you may be able to achieve a 2 sec 0-60 at the strip but your claim is total bull**** bud.

bison548
@bison548 ) Relax - I was joking, I know it is NOT a low 10's, it is a STREET DRIVEN Car, simple, 0-2 secs 60 MPH is same as spinning the tire on ice...

it is a joke... nothing serious... it is only a video, wow...
