I like the idea of TTA's, but they still look like an 80's Fbody, which because of Smokey and the Bandit III I dont really care for;)

It would be the GNX! Buick engine in a buick,ya know. The only problem I see is that I would drive it,not sit and look at it parked. I do like the tta's,because it was the little BUICK V6 that even made me look at it at the time.

Drive a 89 GTA and imagine the HP increase. Same thing.


I agree with TTA89 ......thats why I bought mine.
 
I dont see how driving a gn could give you an idea on how a GNX would drive. My chances of ever driving a GNX....0% :(

Dont get my wrong, TTA's are badass. GNX > TTA

I love the look of the GNX.

Ya, a GN is nothing like a GNX :rolleyes: It's more like a monte SS:eek: :rolleyes:

Fact is there are more people who know what a GNX is vs a 89TTA


So there are alot of GNX lovers from day one out there!:D


Another fact is buick already had a following of GN owners.

I already faced the fact that my car is a bastardchild before purchasing it.

i'll take a GNX anyday. two door, all black, last of the muscle cars. i dont like third gens all that much. too many pimple faced teens riding around in them thinking 14s is fast. and where on public roads is the need for extreem handleing so important? if you need to pull more than .80 g turn (which a stock gn does on 215-65s) on a public street you should be locked up.

So the people that owns GNX's wasted 1000's when all they had to do were minor mods and their GN's could be better

And people with TTA's could have the same thing by adding a few ponies to their GTA's with 350's


I am sorry but IMO you cant imagine these things. You have to actually drive them. To say a TTA is a GTA with more power is a discredit to TTA's. My car is faster than a GNX, but I bet drving one would be a whole different animal


Someone on here must have owned both. I think ALBERTAN did, or at least drove a GNX.

Comparing a GN to a GNX is almost like comparing an 03 cobra to an 03 mustang GT...



All im saying is you cant compare how somthing drives with somthing you've never drove. Agreeable?

hehe, everyone thinking its another 14sec 3rd gen is half the fun of driving one no matter how harsh the ride :) It rides no rougher than my '95 TA. ....and I guess I need to be locked up because .8g just ain't enough if I can take more :) kind of like who needs a 12sec car thats driven on the public street?? I do I do I do...we all do, thats why we drive these badass GNs and TTAs.
 
GNX for me please.

My reason is that I never liked the looks of ANY Firebird on top of the fact that there are a gazillion of that body style out there. I have heard TTA's beat the Buicks hands down in performance and handling . With that said then go buy a Porsche, you know? Just my .02's worth. Bye bye now. Drew
 
if any of you guys are lucky enough to own either a G/N GNX or TTa feel fortunate there all bad ass just the preferences seperates them thats all i will sum it up just find 3 hi miles ones and they would be afforadable buy one of each like i said you are lucky if you have one at all i have been without a turbo car for 2 years now and its been the worst 2 years of my life!!!! if you get one dont sell like i did!!:(
 
BOTH in time, but gnx first based on rarity and value and the fact that the t/a is sweet because of the gn production.
 
I thought the gnx was faster. The tta is basically a gn engine in a ta isn't it? i know it has some minor head stuff and a different intercooler but there isn't much difference is there? the gnx had a ton of stuff done to it, seems to me that it would be faster, and isnt' the gnx lighter too? i don't know a whole lot about the tta so i could be wrong on some of this stuff.
 
10,000 mile GNX = $35,000+
10,000 mile TTA = $16,000 roughly

Someday the TTA will go up in value, but will never have the notoriaty, reputation, or collectability of a GNX I feel.

I said I'd own a TTA and a GNX someday. I've owned the TA, next will be an X, although I am diggin the Limited, might have to get an X for mamma :)
