I'm taking my car to the dyno on Saturday, I want to know what I should expect. I'm running the combo in my sig. with 20# of boost. What is a realistic number? Am I crazy to hope for around 330hp and 425 tq?

also, post your numbers/combo and I will post mine when we get back.

Similar combo to you except THDP and hooker exhaust. at 26 psi--i made 380 hp and 460 tq---so i guess your numbers sound realistic.

Geoff

your guess seems pretty close at that boost level, maybe a bit more torque, but 330-350 hp on 20#s sounds about right. Good luck

I think you are definately in the ball-park. Look at my sig and you'll see my setup and what I pulled on the dyno. Whatever the outside temperature is will have some impact on your numbers as well. Also, if they have a fan (which they should), have them aim it at the front of your car to keep things cool.

they do have a fan and Saturday's high is supposed to be around 52!

numbers soon :D

the dyno should make me feel better because my car is peg-legged and the only judgement of its performance I have right now is a silly 14.2@100 mph after lighting the tire for almost 150 ft.

I'm not even sure of the name of the place, but its in Peoria, IL and a fellow board member (Alkyholic) works there so he's going to get me in.

my car sucks!!!!!!!

the MAF crapped out and we dyno'd the following:

272.3 hp
328.4 tq

17* timing 18 psi

its time for more speed!!!!

Do you think the MAF had to do w/ why you dyno'd lower than what you thought you would?

I ask only because Im new to this, so I really don't know if the MAF could have actually contributed, thats why I asked.

if it is sending eroneous numbers to the computer, then there would be a problem. My LT1 sensor crapped, so we put a 3.5" LS1 sensor on, but didn't have time to tune it.
