Had someone cross over and hit my left rear qtr on my Buick today. And then the b*#@%!
didn't stop! Guess she thought I would sit there. I pulled a U turn and chased her down. She got a ticket and was at fault too. I'll post pics later.:

Eye for an eye. You get to hit her car with whatever you want is what I say. I would hit the top with a monster truck. It may damage the inside a "bit" but oh well.

she should get several tickets? did they sight her with misdemeanor hit and run?

At least you caught her. My truck got hit a few weeks ago and they did not leave a not and it sucks:frown:

It's almost always a fight with the ins companies.

Hmm...I've never had an issue. Especially with the last time I got in a hit and run. The other persons insurance was all about paying out! They figured I was just looking for a reason to sue or something...was easy.

Wow- sorry to hear about that Doug! Was just reading about Jim Seaton's car being stolen at his work on the other board yesterday and now this..... Think I'll keep mine parked. Fight the good fight with her insurance company.

What's with people today? Am I one of the few sane drivers left?

I feel for you man and hope it all turns out alright but the reverse happened to me on Memorial day.

Lady tried three times to get me to hit her and she succeeded on getting me to scratch her car as I kept avoiding her. If I had 1 inch more I miss her. Cops site me for reckless driving. Her honda is dented on every panel and I'm trying to get the cop to see what really happened, no dice.

She sues for all the damage and looses because I could not possibly have hit her everywhere. So I find the cop and show him the all the paperowork and what she's trying to do. He says he will not show up at the court appearence and the judge will drop the ticket. But it still went on my insurance record because they paid the $267.00 to fix the scratch in her front bumper where we touched.

People are just nuts.

Again I hope you get it all worked out.

Mikey

darn Doug....but,i see a new paint job in your future :biggrin:

i bet see was suprised that old car caught her:eek::rolleyes:

Stupididy should be PAainFUL:mad::mad: but hey you were driving a TB, and you ran her down:biggrin: I hate that Sh*t.

Not too long ago I drove up on a similar scam taking place. I was hauling the ATV's on a 18' trailer up the interstate and noticed a couple cars playing havoc with traffic up ahead. I wasn't sure what exactly was going on until I was tangled in the middle of it.
I came up on a older TA traveling about 55 in a 65 in the right lane and I proceeded to pass in the left lane. No problem right, wrong. About 15-20 car lengths ahead of me in the left lane was a Dodge stealth (sweet car) also doing about 55 and slowing . Well luckly knowing something was up I noticed that the TA had sped up and planted himself right in my blind spot waiting for me to cross back over and pass the stealth on the right and smack ($cha-ching).
After a few min. and down to about 45 mph  they decided I wasn't the sucker they were looking for and let me out of their little trap.

at least she had insurance

back in the mid 90's i was driving my mom's car and had a guy pull out infront of me and swore he didn't have insurance. same thing happened to my bro in law and same situation. wife had someone in the insurance industry look up that truck in some database. it just so happened that he did have insurance in his bro's name. went to the address associated with the insurance and threathened. finally they called their insurance company and they paid a few thousand as it was a 89 mustang. nothing else was paid out and it was a real bad accident, other then medical bills and ambulance bills. took my bro in law to the hospital in the same ambulance as the other driver and the whole way my bro wanted to get at the guy but was strapped down to a gurney.

don't settle for nothing, i just had a 3 month fight with insurance on my car from getting a love tap on my rearend. it caused damage you wouldn't have been able to dream up, but they covered it. and it did take alot of work.

we still think that acident is the cause of me having to have my gallbladder removed, and my son's speach inpedement:mad: j/k:redface:

don't settle for anything

i agree if your not physically hurt then just cover your car and you may just get checked up by a dr. alot of stuff in your back may not show up for awhile but atleast get checked out real good. my wife had a wreck awhile back and settled on having her car fixed. now she has issues on her side which means a pinched nerve or something in her back. as i have had 2 ruptured disc since 91 at work i have alot of experiance and ask alot of ?'s when i'm seeing a dr. if you have issues in any of your arms or legs it could be from back issues. don't sign off on any medical unless you've seen a dr. talk to your family dr and tell him what happened, you never know and if you sign off you'll pay out of pocket later. i had a guy rear end my 300Z in 07 and it took over a yr to settle but i was covered. damage wasn't much to the car was roughly 600. but it inflamed my back and i had to wind up getting surgery after dealing with everything for roughly 17 yrs. so numbness, tingling, burning ( and not when you pee ) or other issues are something that you want to get checked out. not saying call an ambulance chaser and work the guy over for some cash but still cover your bases. better to cover them then not and have to deal with it on your own dime.
