Guess my horsepower

Well, I'm disappointed. The car didn't run well at all on the dyno. The boost was low, thus ran pig rich. I even pulled 10% fuel to try to bring it back to sanity. The results:
517HP and 548 TQ. The dyno chart looks like a little girl scribbled all over it. The best I can tell, the car would peak power around 4800 RPM then fall off after that.

Are you still on the 6.0 chip? Must have ramped up to quick to compensate, or too much alky.
I'm running the 5.7 chip, so I have to add or reduce fuel manually. No alky, just straight 110 race gas. The AFR's seemed all over the place. Maybe the dyno rollers didn't replicate the same resistance that the car sees on the street, who knows. I figure the car makes 500HP on pump gas, so only 17 HP gain on race gas (with more boost and timing) is very suspect. On the street the AFR's and boost are close to ideal, so i'm not sure why the boost was lower on the dyno.

I thought it was going to be at least 25hp per lb. Im right around 23-25...

I was assuming by your signature that you were on the 6.0 chip and we're now using alky. My bad. I found my car to react a bit different on the Dyno than on the street. I found it harder to adjust the tune on the Dyno. Ramped up much quicker on the pull logs.

Either way nothing to be ashamed about.

I usually run the combo in my sig, but I decided to try a race chip for once. On the street I can compare my log files and it's pulling more MPH for sure. The dyno did have a faster ramp-up speed so that may explain the lower boost reading. I may switch back to my v6.0 street chip and be happy with running 20# and high tens in the quarter.

I calculated 530.
What converter and what was the slip %?

What type of dyno? On my setup the difference in load on dyno vs strip was 130% dyno and 150 strip. Even on a loaded dyno I had issues with boost falling off in 3rd where on the strip it actually increases from my initial setting in 3rd. Turbochargers are load dependent meaning it needs load to power the turbine to keep up with the motor.

Edit: Even fuel was off dyno vs strip. I wouldn't be down on what it made, just tweak at the strip like I do. Lean it out to 11.5 on 110 and you will see a HUGE bump in tq.

It's a PTC 9.5 non-lockup. Slip is around 4%. I think the guys are onto something with the dyno load. Bradenton has some test 'n' tune next weekend, so I may take it there for some quarter mile action.

With your combo, weight, 23psi and race gas, you should go close to 128mph if your tune holds steady.
