H&R rear sway bar question

Just finished the install and have a question on pre load. The way I'm reading the directions is no pre load unless you have traction issue and adjust at the track? Is no pre load when the rod ens are threaded in the hex spacer all the way? So basically no threads on either side of hex spacer are showing, correct?

no

it means that when the car is at rest with driver in the seat the bar is just sitting there , at that position the link arms should have no tension ,
basically you disconnect the passenger lower link and with driver in the seat adjust the link arm so the bolt slides through ..thats zero preload
extending the ends of the adjuster out from there on passenger side would add preload

so its just the passenger side that you adjust and leave the DS short as possible?
